A Camellia Romance Quick Plot Recap (Spoilers Alert!)
Set in a traditional era, Zhou Jun-Jue (Guo Zi Fan) is a good-looking tea merchant and is known also as the richest man in Fuchun City who is investigating the death of his father. Along with this, he is a very good martial artist and an efficient businessman. However, he is pressured by his mother to get married as soon as possible.
One day, Jun-jue’s mother accidentally met Xu Chun-Chun (Li Mo Zhi) and starts to like her. Chun-Chun loves making desserts and pastries. She also works hard to earn money to start her own business. She lives under her stepmother because her parents died. With her independence, she sets her mind to things and does her best to attain her dreams.
However, the mother of Jun-Jue talked to Chun-Chun’s stepmother and got into an agreement that their children should marry each other. When Chun-Chun and Jun-Jue found out that they are fated to marry each other, they did many ways to get out of the situation.
As they continue to spend time together, they eventually fell in love with each other. However, things got messy when Jun-Jue’s ex-schoolmate, Cai-Die, and Jun-Jue’s cousin, Lan-Er both wants to have Jun-Jue for themselves. This doesn’t stop, because Princess Xin-Ning also developed romantic feelings for Jun-Jue.

Undeniably, the majority of charm in the series is the romance between Jun-Jue and Chun-Chun. Although the plot of A Camellia Romance is not new at all, their chemistry makes viewers’ hearts happy and invigorated.
The love of Jun-Jue and Chun-Chun went through the phases of getting to know each other and supporting each other’s dreams. Although there are lots of females who wanted to have Jun-Jue, he assured her that she’s the only one for him.
Just like a camellia flower that blooms with full colors with its glossy petals, their love also blossomed amidst the struggles and hindrances they faced.
In the end, they live a life of bliss. Added to this Xi Er (Chun-Chun’s best friend) and Dong Ling (Jun-Jue’s best friend) also ended up together.
Dreams Into Reality
Being an independent woman, Chun-Chun works hard in earning her own money to start her business. With her love of pastries and desserts, her life became sweeter when Jun-Jue entered her life.
Amidst all the romance, Jun-Jue didn’t hesitate to help Chun-Chun with her business. As a way of expressing his sincere adoration, Jun-Jue showed his support and assistance to help her achieve her dreams.
The results of Chun-Chun’s hard work paid off when her desert business became popular and big, bigger than Jun-Jue’s trading business. More than the love that Chun-Chun got, she also achieved her biggest dream with the help of her true love.
A Camellia Romance Series Musings
I was attracted to watch A Camellia Romance when I first read its plot and what engrossed me to watch it is the incorporated food element. The drama lightly tackled the world of business before and gave a glimpse of the different products during the traditional era.
Maybe what I love the most in the drama are the characters themselves. I find them very amusing and entertaining. If you want a good laugh with a tinge of different delicacies then you must watch this drama.
Moreover, I love how supportive Jun-Jue is. It also tells us that we should know how to invest in our dreams and pick the right people to be with our journey. Chun-Chun has a strong support system that also contributes to her success.
All in all, I enjoyed watching A Camellia Romance. On a light drawback, it would have been nice if the story lessened the number of females that want Jun-Jue because I think three ladies are too much. Nevertheless, it’s still a good watch!
