Lee Jin Wook: “There is No Life In This World Without Mistakes and Failures.”

Lounging like a heartthrob full of charm, Lee Jin Wook shared insightful thoughts for Singles Korea’s February issue.

Moreover, he also relayed stories about his recent role in Netflix hit series, Sweet Home. The drama has seen immense following on Netflix charts in 10 countries. Lee Jin Wook portrayed Pyeon Sang-wook, a character with a dark and deep back story.

Revealing how he knew the series would be received well, the actor contributed to the thrilling story fueled by three-dimensional characters.

During the interview, he also revealed how unlike most actors he does not contemplate long when deciding whether to take a project or not. “When given a work, I only think about the work for 24 hours. Lee Jin Wook also spilled about his secret to immersing on his character. “I constantly ask myself: What if this would be me?”

 


On His Acting Journey

Recounting his experiences in the past, Lee Jin Wook conveyed the normal unpleasant memories he had when he was just a budding actor.

“I just hope that the people working with me are not uncomfortable,” he said, expressing his affectionate feelings toward his colleagues. Also, “There is no life in this world without mistakes and failures. The attitude and method of accepting it and moving to the next step are important. I always try to be a better person, but it’s not easy.”

Lauded for his romance melodrama projects such as the film The Beauty Inside and drama I Need Romance 2, his recent work in Sweet Home left a strong impression on viewers and raised expectations for another work.
