Effortlessly dapper and confident, Lee Jae Wook didn’t need any magic with his commanding presence when he greeted the Philippine press ahead of his scheduled fan meeting.

The Alchemy of Souls star is excited to meet his adoring Filipino fans at the 2023 Lee Jae Wook “First” Asia Tour Fan Meeting In Manila.

Flashing his dimpled smile, Lee Jae Wook beams as he reveals the Philippines is a country he intends to visit. He also intends to maximize the time while he is in the country.

With that, he shares Boracay island is at the top of his head for the place he wants to visit as even in Korea, it is a popular destination. He loves to swim, so he really hopes he can visit.

Acknowledging the downpour of love and support he received from Philippine fans, he looks forward to creating memories at his scheduled fan meeting on March 11.

After the primer questions, Lee Jae Wook responds eloquently and precisely to the questions raised by the Philippine press representatives.

When asked about future roles he wants to take, he responds wanting to play stronger and more complex characters.

Aware that his popularity skyrocket owing to his recent project, he expressed appreciation and fondness for Jang Wook and Alchemy of Souls.

“I am thankful for the popularity. It is the result of the hard work of the production team and actors. The reason why I am here is because of Jang Wook. It is a character close to my heart.”

Attuned to his adoration for his latest drama, the actor shares his current playlist includes NewJeans and BLACKPINK. Proving his closeness to the cast, he also recommends Hwang Min Hyun’s latest music.

For an exclusive TMI, Lee Jae Wook confesses he has a habit of needing to sweat before an interview.

Portraying the charismatic and resolute character of Jang Wook, he was also asked to choose between being charismatic and determined.

“Being charismatic is tiring. I’d rather have determination so I can focus on one thing, and do it until the end.”

He also remarks that in real life he is more of Jang Wook in the first season.

“I am more of Jang Wook from season 1. I like people around me to have fun. We only had a week after to prepare for shooting season 2. To be honest, it was hard.”

Speaking of his other equally remarkable characters in his previous dramas, Lee conveyed that his character Baek Kyung in Extraordinary You took a physical and emotional toll on him. He explained that the character required a lot of emotions.

Going candid, he impressed the media crowd with his adorable answer to where he wants to go if he can go anywhere.

“I don’t want to explore the universe, it’s too big. I’ll stay here on earth.”

Looking forward to his fan meeting, the actor said emphasized his gratitude for the love and support he received.

“I am excited to meet Filipino fans at the fan meet. It’s something that I did not expect. I am thankful for the love I received.”
