“Young Actors’ Retreat” Premiere Week Episodes Revisit Filming Locations and Acquaint Participating Actors With Each Other

Finally launched, Youth Actors’ Retreat is loaded with candid interactions and fun-filled activities that will surely be loved by the fans of dramas The Sound of Magic, Itaewon Class and Love In The Moonlight.

Designed as a reunion travel variety show among actors that worked together with Director Kim Seong Yoon; the project generated buzz as it will cast popular and rising actors from the dramas helmed by the director.

Park Bogum joins Kim Yoo Jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo Bin, and Kwak Dong Yeon in Team Moonlight

Next, Team Itaewon consists of main actor Park Seo Joon together with Ahn Bo Hyun, Kwon Nara, Ryu Kyung Soo, and Lee Joo Young.

Last but not the least, actors Ji Chang Wook, Choi Sung Eun, Hwang In Youp, Ji Hye Won, and Kim Bo Yun make up Team Magic.

Launched earlier, the two-episode premiere reels interest right away as former costars happily meet again while adorably testing their mettle in games and signature to variety shows.

Revisiting Filming Locations

Appointed as team captains, Ji Chang Wook, Park Seo Joon and Kim Yoo Jung were given tasks to find their teammates by picking the correct filming locations where the other members are waiting. With the wrong place visited, ₩10,000 will be deducted from the lunch money given to the group.

Innately good at directions, Kim Yoo Jung trusted her instinct and finds Chae Soo Bin and Kwak Dong Yeon waiting at Jeonju Hyanggyo. Thereafter, they head to Seodongyo Theme Park in Buyeo where Jung Jinyoung is waiting for them.

Coming from Yongma Land, the main filming location of The Sound of Magic; Ji Chang Wook meets Choi Sung Eun and Hwang In Youp in the alley which featured the rain of money scene in the drama. Completing the team, they head to Yonsei University where the famous umbrella scene was shot.

Meanwhile, Park Seo Joon replicates the poster of Itaewon Class as he poses at Noksapyeong Pedestrian Overpass complete with quick praise for Namsan Tower. Picking up Ryu Kyung Soo and Lee Joo Young at the rooftop of DanBam 2, they head to Baekbeom Square Park where Kwon Nara waits.

Both Ji Chang Wook and Park Seo Joon lost ₩10,000 for picking the wrong places on their first try. By playing a game and betting on another ₩10,000; the teams also get clues about the locations of the last members to be picked up.

Proceeding to their respective lunch breaks, the teams play another game of increasing their lunch money by scooping it with a spatula and wooden board. All teams got additional money for their lunch. Interestingly, Kwak Dong Yeon steals those game scenes by aptly guessing fast in the trivia quiz and having the perfect wrist to scoop ₩230k out of the ₩300K prize money.

Base Camp Meeting + First Game

With all teams reunited, they head to the base camp in Boryeong. Park Bo Gum who came from an overseas schedule surprised his team who arrived first in the base camp.

Settling at the three villas while going for a quick break, they head to a field for the dinner game.

To break the awkwardness, they were also mixed into new teams before the game with the same team captains appointed earlier.

Yoo Jung leads Team YIN, Seo Joon for Danmuji and Chang Wook for Team GDNM.

At stake is a sumptuous dinner spread of fresh sashimi for the top winner and seafood and ramyun for the runner-up. But whichever team loses would only get rice and seaweed.

On a streak, Team GDNM quickly gets the hang of the game with Kyungsoo and Jinyoung as quiz geniuses.

Driven to close the gap, Team YIN takes advantage of their quickness to tie the lead at 3 points. Thanks to reinforcement team member Yoon Kyung Ho, Team Danmuji also makes a come-from-behind spurt as Seo Joon is adorably discovered to be bad at playing group games.

Back at starting point with one question left in the game, the winner of the fun-filled game will be announced in the next episode. Ahn Bo Hyun will also belatedly join Team Itaewon.
