“Artificial City” Bares Character Teasers of Soo Ae, Kim Kang Woo, Lee Hak Joo & Lee Yi Dam

Artificial City

Slated for December 8 premiere, JTBC’s new drama, Artificial City, has unfurled the characters to meet in the series.

Artificial City is a unique mystery thriller drama about a woman’s desire to rise to the highest position in Korea against a powerful chaebol family who runs Sungjin Group, a conglomerate company that shakes the political and financial world of Korea.

It heralds a dramatic portrayal for Soo Ae, who will make her drama return to the role of Yoon Jae-hee, the second daughter-in-law of the Sungjin group family. She is obsessed to make her husband the president of South Korea.

Kim Kang Woo plays the character Jung Jun-hyeok, the second son of the Sungjin family. As a news agency anchor, he has been gaining national trust. He boldly reports anomalies even if it involves his family. Using Sungjin Group’s label of him being an illegitimate son, he cleverly uses it to his advantage.

However, despite his cool and charismatic temperament, he has endured the inferiority of being a son out of wedlock. Thus, he desires to ascend to the highest position possible.

Meanwhile, Lee Hak Joo suits up to the role of Han Dong-min, a reporter for the JBC news agency. He is a character who grew up in a harmonious family and a normal life. His driving force is the belief that dreams come true as he puts his effort and sincerity into a dream of a better world where everyone can live.

Accordingly, he believes and respects Jung Jun-hyeok and has a pleasant senior-junior relationship. In the published photos, he is seen with a bright demeanor and energy. His simple and modest outfit coupled with his warm smile reflects his stable nature without unnecessary greed.

Lastly, Lee Yi Dam characterizes Kim Yi-seol, the docent of Space Jin, the fictional art museum in Artificial City. Although she is not an art major, she is from a prestigious university with immense talent admired by Yoon Jae-hee.

Appearing to be quiet and simple, she sometimes can be resolute and dauntless and is driven to rise in status. In particular, there are always indescribable emotions in her gaze towards the members of Sungjin family. Therefore, her final goal heightens interest along with the possible tension that will happen between her and Jae-hee.

JTBC’s Artificial City premieres on December 8 on JTBC at 10:30 PM.
