“At A Distance Spring Is Green” Blossoms Romance and Chemistry Among The Lead Cast

Park Ji Hoon, Kang Min Ah, and Bae In Hyuk emphasize their top-grade chemistry in At A Distance Spring Is Green!

KBS2’s campus romance At A Distance Spring Is Green held an online production presentation. On the 14th, Director Kim Jong Hyun (A Korean Odyssey, Secret Garden, & Playful Kiss) and the lead cast attended the event. 

At A Distance Spring Is Green is an adaptation of a popular webtoon series. It narrates the stories of struggling youth in their everyday lives. 

Yeo Joon (Park Ji Hoon) and Nam Soo Hyun (Bae In Hyuk) creates brotherly chemistry amidst their contrasting personalities. An unlikely friendship and campus romance bloom as they encounter a hardworking student, Kim So Bin (Kang Min Ah).

For Park Ji Hoon and Kang Min Ah, accepting the series would be their first work at a public channel. Park Ji Hoon expressed, “It is an honor to be able to make his name known in his first lead role aired in a terrestrial network. I made a lot of effort myself. I was worried about how to express Yeo Joon in my way.”

Kang Min Ah also added, “When I first received the script and participated in the drama, it was a lot of pressure. I was worried that I couldn’t do it until the end, but it wasn’t that hard when filming. I didn’t think I was the first lead role, yet, I was going to be working with nice people in a new drama.”

Park Ji Hoon shares his thought with his similarity with Yeo Joon. “Many people have an idol image of me or an actor image. I am a person, so I have my wounds. You can’t always be bright from the point of view. I think that’s my similarity with Yeo Jun.”

On the other hand, the rookie actor, Bae In Hyuk who is overwhelmed with growing support received from My Roommate is a Gumiho. In Hyuk laughed, “Many people have recognized me, and I have many SNS followers.”

For his efforts in playing as Nam Soo Hyun, the rookie actor added, “Soo-hyun is a friend who has financial difficulties, so I worked hard to present his emotional weight.”

As the production of the series continues, Kang Min Ah scored 300 out of 100 in terms of their chemistry. ” I watched the monitor and thought the three of us had good chemistry together.”

“Even if the characters are all different, the acting tone must feel the same to be natural. We have grown close by talking a lot,” Kang Min Ah stated.

For Bae In Hyuk, he also agrees and confidently scores their chemistry as 600. “Our chemistry is really good. The audio is not empty. All of them are serious when filming, but they are happy when waiting for the next scene.”

Speaking about Park Ji Hoon’s and Baek In Hyuk’s bromance, the latter confessed, “It was a bit awkward because I joined the drama late. When we opened our hearts to each other, I think it made comfortable friend-like chemistry.”

He continued, “As awkwardness continues, I wanted to know him just as Yeo Joon wants to know Soo Hyun. It really helped.”
