JTBC confirms Cho Seung Woo will portray a competent lawyer for its upcoming legal drama.
Cho Seung Woo is ready to heighten the thrilling narrative of 신성한 이혼 Sacred Divorce.
Set to broadcast in the first half 2023, JTBC and Writer Yoo Young Ah carefully pick top-notch actors for the series’ lineup.
Penning one of the most popular dramas of JTBC, Thirty-Nine, Writer Yoo will give depth and elevate the drama adapted from its original Kakao Webtoon.
A few of her notable works include Encounter, Entertainer, and Miracle In Cell No. 7.
Sacred Divorce tells the story of a 45-year-old divorce lawyer, Shin Sung-han, played by Cho Seung Woo.
He will encounter different disputes in marriage and brings back together married couples and solves their family problems.
Sung-han grew up in a well-off family and lived a life everyone is envious of. He is a former professor at a music university in Germany majoring in piano and became a divorce specialist at the age of 39.
He then made a life-changing decision as he returns to South Korea to become a lawyer to find out about the news he heard.
Furthermore, despite living with a picture-perfect family, Sung-han has bad experiences from his childhood that push him to pursue law.
Additionally, the Sacred Divorce production team affirms a relatable legal drama;
“We hope that through our realistic stories of divorce and the main character Shin Sung Han’s quest for truth, viewers will be able to empathize with and relate to our drama. To make that happen, we will work hard on our preparations.”
