Disney+ Unveils Poster for “Made in Korea” Spotlighting 1970s Power Struggles

Disney+ has released the first poster for its original series Made in Korea, teasing a gripping story set amid South Korea’s turbulent 1970s.

Made in Korea explores the fierce battle for power between Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin), a man willing to exploit the nation for personal gain, and Jang Gun-young (Jung Woo Sung), a prosecutor determined to bring him down.

The newly unveiled poster captures the era’s ruthless hierarchy, with Baek Ki-tae’s silhouette rising amid smoke, radiating ambition and authority. Supporting characters—Cheon Seok-jung (Jung Sung Il), Pyo Hak-su (Noh Jae Won), and Hwang Guk-pyeong (Park Yong Woo)—add layers of intrigue, each embodying different facets of desire, calculation, and intensity that promise unpredictable developments.

Accompanied by the tagline, “The only power that is not banned in the ‘Age of Prohibition,’” the poster underscores the unyielding pursuit of authority in a world defined by restrictions, surveillance, and high-stakes conflict.

Made in Korea will premiere on Disney+ as a six-episode series, with two episodes releasing each on December 24 and December 31, followed by single episodes on January 7 and January 14.

The series is already generating buzz for its intense storytelling and immersive depiction of ambition and power during a pivotal era in Korean history.
