Genie TV’s original drama Idol Eye has dropped its main poster, hinting at a thrilling and unpredictable connection between star lawyer Maeng-na and top idol Do Ra-ik.
Idol Eye, directed by Lee Kwang-young and written by Kim Da-rin, is a mystery courtroom romance that follows a devoted fan who becomes the legal savior of her favorite idol—now accused of murder.
The story centers on Maeng-na (Choi Sooyoung), a fierce, high-profile attorney who secretly adores Ra-ik (Kim Jae Young), a member of the popular group Gold Boys. When he becomes the prime suspect in a murder case, she jumps in to clear his name while keeping her fangirl identity tightly hidden.
The newly released poster deepens intrigue: Maeng-na stands before cold piles of legal documents, symbolizing her grueling rise as a “star lawyer,” while Ra-ik glows under stage lights, flashing the killer smile beloved by fans. The tagline—“My favorite with a killer smile becomes a murder suspect”—perfectly captures their collision of worlds.
Soo-young highlighted the unique “fan–favorite” dynamic, saying that trust built from afar can be stronger than any ordinary connection. Kim Jae-young added that the drama’s blend of mystery, courtroom tension, and romance will deliver layered emotions—from suspense to fluttering excitement.
Idol Eye premieres on ENA at 10 p.m. on the 22nd.
