Island

Acquainting viewers with more details about Island, it’s hard not to be fascinated with the compelling visuals of the lead cast.

Slated for a December premiere, Island traverses the journey of characters destined to fight against the “evil” that is trying to destroy the world.

The series is based on the webtoon of the same name by writers Yoon In-wan and Yang Kyung-il. Notably, the fantasy-action to be highlighted in the drama is set to unfold in the background of Jeju Island, which brims with folk tales.

“Island” Signals Epic Journey With Unveiled Teasers

Accordingly, the released character posters reflect the lead stars armed with unrivaled charisma. The strong lines on the posteres add curiosity to how the story unfurls.

First, Kim Nam Gil, who transformed into a half-human-half-monster radiates dark charisma and dignity.

With an intense gaze, his line “I’ve been waiting for you for a long time,” gives off an overwhelming stance.

Lee Da Hee, who plays the role of Miho, ‘the one who stands at the center of fate’, creates an overwhelming atmosphere with her gorgeous visuals.

In addition, she became self-sufficient in Jeju Island as a part-time teacher. The text on her poster: “Why are they chasing me?” is a meaningful question that will be answered in the story.

Next, Cha Eun Woo shows off his unrealistic visuals while suiting up as Priest John. As an exorcist priest, he is described as “the one who performs the power of God”.

Correspondingly, the text on his poster revealed: “I will protect it. That’s my choice,” emphasizing his determination as he grabs a staff that exudes holy power.

Lastly, the image of Sung Joon, who challenges a role epitomizing “the one who was abandoned by the world”, was revealed for the first time.

Sung Joon projects a stellar transformation with long gray hair and stares straight ahead with the blood-colored geumgangjeo/vajra leaning on his shoulder.

He also gives a special impact with the phrase full of regrets, “I shouldn’t have believed in humans.” His sad eyes suggest a secret sad back story.

TVING original series Island will be released in December. International fans can watch it on Amazon Prime Video.
