“Island” Puts Forward Kim Nam Gil Exuding Dark Charisma As Half-Human and Half Monster

Transforming into a human-monster character, Kim Nam Gil commands attention with the latest stills unveiled by the production team of Island.

Slated for a December premiere, Island traverses the journey of characters destined to fight against the “evil” that is trying to destroy the world.

The series is based on the webtoon of the same name by writers Yoon In-wan and Yang Kyung-il. Notably, the fantasy-action to be highlighted in the drama is set to unfold in the background of Jeju Island, which brims with folk tales.

To show the tragic fate of Ban, who had to endure battling evil spirits alone for years, expectations for Kim Nam Gil are high. He has endured thousands of years to fight against the jeongyeomgwi, a demon that attacked the mysterious island of Jeju. Together with Mi-ho who has a cryptic fate and Yohan, the youngest exorcist on earth; they are going to question the true meaning of life while surviving an ordeal.

Indeed, the attention of drama fans is focused on what kind of fantasy genre Director Bae’s helming plus the lead cast’s chemistry will complete.
