SBS has officially confirmed that its upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama Dynamite Kiss—starring Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin—will premiere on November 12 at 9 p.m.
Dynamite Kiss follows the quirky yet heartfelt story of a woman who pretends to be a mother to get by and the straight-laced team leader who unexpectedly falls for her.
Penned by Ha Yoon-ah and Tae Kyung-min, the minds behind Mystic Pop-up Bar and From Now On Showtime!, and directed by Kim Jae-hyun of the hit One Dollar Lawyer, the series promises a blend of humor, drama, and irresistible chemistry.
Jang Ki Yong takes on the role of Gong Ji-hyeok, the charismatic team leader of the “Mother TF” division at a childcare product company. Gong Ji-hyeok is known for his sharp mind, cool-headed judgment, and passion for his work. However, his world is turned upside down when Ko Da-rim enters his life. Torn between the impossibility of their situation and an undeniable connection, Gong Ji-hyeok struggles with love as unpredictable as a “natural disaster.”
Ahn Eun Jin has made a name for herself with acclaimed roles in Hospital Playlist, The Good Bad Mother, and the breakout hit My Dearest. Known for her ability to portray raw emotion and nuanced characters, she has become one of the most sought-after actresses of her generation.
With this drama, SBS is reigniting its weekday drama lineup. A representative explained, “While Wednesday and Thursday nights are currently filled with variety and current affairs programs, viewers are craving stories they can truly immerse themselves in. A romantic comedy that’s lighthearted, heart-fluttering, and fun will be a perfect fit.”
Get ready for laughs, heartwarming moments, and plenty of chemistry when Kissing for No Reason! begins its run this November.
