Lee Jun Ho Is Torn Between Love and Royal Responsibility In “The Red Sleeve”

Red Cuff of Sleeve

Lee Jun Ho flaunts irresistible charm in the freshly released stills of The Red Sleeve.

MBC’s latest Friday-Saturday drama The Red Sleeve, which premieres in November, chronicles a heartbreaking royal romance between a court lady determined to preserve the life she chose and a king who prioritized country over love.

It is based on Kang Mi Gang’s novel of the same name. Additionally, it also garners recognition as an authentic historical drama in which MBC invests its heart and soul.

Lee San (Lee Jun Ho) is a rigorous and egotistical perfectionist in the drama. He continuously strives to become Seong Gun, but his father’s death has left him heartbroken. When he meets Seong Deok-im (Lee Se Young), a confident court lady, he begins to awkwardly show his soft side, unaware of being in love.

He will possess a captivating appeal as he alternates between being a charismatic and cool monarch and a man in love with a court woman.

Jun Ho is depicted in the stills with the Crown Prince’s nobility and charm evident in him. He stands tall without flinching in the face of the court lady’s active hands.

However, when he meets Seong Deok-im (Lee Se-young), a confident court lady, he begins to clumsily reveal the side of a lover that he did not know. He, who will become King Jeongjo of Joseon in the future, shows a charismatic monarch who will become smitten by court lady Seong Deok-im.

To elicit expectations for the series, Lee Jun Ho’s acting would undoubtedly make audiences fall in love.

The Red Sleeve premieres in November on MBC.
