The main leads of Lies Hidden In My Garden begin activities for its anticipated premiere by completing the first script reading.
Lies Hidden In My Garden is a suspenseful family thriller about two women living completely different lives. Their fates tangle due to a suspicious smell coming from a backyard.
Directed by Jung Ji-hyun (Search WWW, Twenty Five Twenty One), the drama establishes its premise with the single line: “I smell something suspicious in the backyard“.
The series stars Kim Tae Hee, Lim Ji Yeon, Kim Sung Oh and Choi Jae Rim. It is slated on ENA’s Monday-Tuesday spot in June.
Kim Tae Hee and Lim Ji Yeon Top-bill New Genie TV Original Drama
At the script reading event, Director Jung Ji-hyun and writer Ji A-ni were joined by the lead characters. It is revealed that Director Jung shared the ideas and details of each scene with the actors whenever he had a chance, leading to high-quality synergy reflected in the script reading.
In the drama, Kim Tae Hee plays Joo-ran who notices a strange smell in her backyard at her own house. She lives in a picturesque house with a yard envied by everyone. But she is disturbed by the strange smell in the backyard.
Lim Ji Yeon, who plays the role of Sang-eun, a victim of domestic violence who dreams of escaping from a miserable reality, drew attention by intensely portraying the repressed desire to escape from a life full of affliction.
Joo-ran and Sang-eun who have completely different lives are brought to life by Kim Tae Hee and Lim Ji Yeon as they overwhelmed the scene with their synergy.
Meanwhile, Kim Sung Oh portrays Park Jae-ho, a perfectionist doctor and Joo-ran’s husband. His intriguing character heightens interest as he goes back and forth between a caring husband and a cold, unfathomable person.
Lastly, Choi Jae Rim who characterizes Kim Yun-bum perfectly captured a cunning and violent character.
As such, the script reading peeks at an intense mystery to be featured in the eagerly-awaited drama filled with plot twists.
Lies Hidden In My Garden will be available on June 19th on Genie TV, Genie TV Mobile, and ENA.
