MBC’s highly anticipated new Friday-Saturday drama, Moon River, has unveiled an evocative poster that captures the destined relationship between Kang Tae Oh and Kim Sejeong, heightening anticipation for its premiere later this month.
Set to air on October 31, Moon River (WT) is a fantasy historical romance that begins when the souls of a crown prince who has lost his smile and a wealthy merchant who has lost her memory become mysteriously switched. The drama promises a story filled with emotional depth, intrigue, and fateful encounters.
The newly released main poster beautifully contrasts the two leads — Crown Prince Lee Kang (Kang Tae Oh), poised amidst the grandeur of the palace, and Park Dal-i (Kim Sejeong), a spirited merchant surrounded by wildflowers.
Between them flows a crimson thread of destiny (Hongyeon), symbolizing their intertwined fates and hinting at the magical and romantic journey that awaits. The imagery evokes both elegance and tension, leaving viewers curious about how their worlds will collide.
Alongside the main visual, character posters for the five central figures were also unveiled, each paired with powerful lines that reveal their inner struggles and resolve.
Crown Prince Lee Kang (Kang Tae-oh) declares with quiet intensity, “If you will, I will show you that I am an exception,” showcasing his determination to defy fate.
Park Dal-i (Kim Se-jeong) adds intrigue with her line, “I saved your life, so your life is my business,” hinting at her bold and independent spirit.
Lee Woon (Lee Shin-young) stands as a loyal protector, while Kim Woo-hee (Hong Soo-joo) holds her gun with unwavering resolve, vowing to defend the one she loves.
Kim Han-cheol (Jin Goo), the formidable ruler, exudes authority with his chilling remark, “Now, do you understand? The rules of this palace.”
The production team shared, “The emotional connections and intertwined destinies among these five characters will weave a rich and layered narrative. We hope viewers will look forward to the extraordinary story of the crown prince and the merchant whose souls are switched by fate.”
Featuring a mix of fantasy, romance, and palace intrigue, Moon River is poised to deliver a visually stunning and emotionally charged story when it premieres on October 31 on MBC.
