In the released photos, the unrivaled aura of the flawless and deadly devil steals attention. Gu-won is a ‘devil’ who enjoys eternal life by making a sweet yet dangerous deal with humans by pledging soul as collateral. Having observed human desires and bare faces for a long time, he regarded them as insignificant and reigned as a top predator for over 200 years. Guwon’s appearance, who happens to become Do-hee’s bodyguard, foretells a different ‘evil life’. The disapproving gaze of Guwon, who chicly protects someone with his arms crossed, also adds to the laughter.
Gu-won becomes entangled with Do-hee, a very strange woman, and loses his powers strangely. Curiosity is also focused on the amazing fate of Gu-won, the ‘devil’ who must protect Do-hee, who robbed him of his own abilities in order to prevent her extinction.
Song Kang reveals the reason for choosing the work saying, “I was interested in the romantic comedy genre, which I had never tried before, and the more I read the script, the more attractive the content and the character’s lines became.”
Regarding his latest character, he describes him as someone who takes pride in being perfect and lacking in anything, but he is a person who undergoes a big change due to a curious incident.
“During the process of Gu-won’s transformation, various aspects emerge. It will be a new character that is different from the roles I played before. I included ad-libs to better show Gu-won’s emotions, and as I tried to express it as my own character, I think a little of myself came out in Gu-won.”
My Demon premieres at 10 PM on November 24 on SBS. International fans can watch it on Netflix.
