Looking forward to the pairing of fan-favorite child actors Kim Sae Ron and Nam Da Reum is expected.
For their newest project, they take on a fantasy romance mystery web drama. 우수무당 가두심 Excellent Shaman Ga Doo Shim (LT) tells the story of Na Woo-soo who gets entangled in a series of mysterious events.
The web series will run for 12 episodes with around 20 minutes duration, and it is scheduled to start shooting in earnest in May and show its debut on Kakao TV in the second half of this year.
Kim Sae Ron plays the role of Ga Doo-shim, an 18-year-old high school student who is born with the fate of a shaman who fights evil spirits.
Starting with a strong impression in the movie A Man From Nowhere, she took on characters of various genres such as The Neighbors, The Snowy Road, and Secret Healer.
Continuing to prove her unrivaled presence, she is expected to surprise everyone with another unconventional portrayal in this work. Her new role goals to fight evil spirits, and solve the clues of mysterious events.
“It was a fantasy genre that stimulates imagination, so reading the script was very fun, and her yearning to live the life she wanted by rejecting her natural destiny was attractive. Please look forward to it,” the actress said.
Nam Da Reum takes on the role of Na Woo-soo, who has a wealthy family, a warm appearance, and excellent grades. As a high school student who is not aware of difficulties, he is a person who becomes caught up in a mysterious incident due to the appearance of Gu Da-sim.
Praised for playing younger versions of Korea’s top male actors, his most recent appearance was in hit drama Start-Up. He also provided lasting impressions in dramas, While You Were Sleeping, Radio Romance, and Beautiful World to name a few.
Nam Da Reum said, “I really enjoyed reading the script, and Na Woo-soo felt more attractive as he is different from the characters I had acted so far. After seeing the director, my expectations and confidence in the work have increased. He further promised to work hard so the drama will be loved by the viewers.
Excellent Shaman Ga Doo Shim starts shooting this May and will be released for the first time on kakao TV in the second half of this year.
