Salaryman Turned Hero: First Teaser for Netflix’s “Cashero” Reveals Powers and Dilemmas

Netflix has announced that its upcoming series Cashero will premiere on Friday, December 26, accompanied by the release of a teaser poster and trailer.

Cashero is a unique hero drama grounded in realism, following Lee Jun Ho (Sang Woong), a salaryman struggling with wedding expenses and housing costs. He suddenly gains the ability to become stronger in proportion to the amount of money he holds—but using his powers causes the money to vanish. Torn between everyday survival and his newfound superpowers, Lee Jun-ho must navigate an unusual moral and financial dilemma.

The teaser poster immediately captures attention, showing Lee Jun-ho clutching money that appears to crumble to dust, his contemplative expression reflecting his inner conflict. The tagline, “What should I do? I want to do good deeds with my own money,” illustrates his predicament—transitioning from a civil servant saving pennies to a “Cashero” whose powers consume the cash in his hands the more he uses them, leaving him at a crossroads between personal needs and heroic duties.

The teaser trailer offers glimpses of Lee Jun-ho demonstrating his powers to his fiancée, Kim Hye Jun (Min Sook), explaining that the more he exerts his ability, the faster his money disappears. He likens the effect to “gochujang and gochujang” or “flies and fruit flies,” humorously downplaying the extraordinary nature of his ability.
