Han So Hee & Song Kang To Define “Hyperreal Romance” In Their Latest Drama “Nevertheless”

Scheduled to run for 10 episodes, Nevertheless has unveiled its love pairing in the newly-released poster!

Bannered by Song Kang and Han So Hee, the series is derived from a webtoon serialized in 2019. For its live adaptation, it threads on the story of a woman who wants to love even though she doesn’t believe in it and a man who likes to flirt but does not want to date.

Traversing the push and pull of romance, Nevertheless targets a youth story that would appeal to viewers craving for romantic series. Director Kim Ga Ram of Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, Devilish Charm and Vampire Detective fame, is in charge of the production.

Han So Hee takes the role of Yu Nabi, a woman who wants to fall in love albeit previous heartbreaking experience from her first love. Suiting up as Park Jae-eon is K-Dramaland’s busiest actor these days, Song Kang. Indifferent to others with a cold front, he likes casual flirting but does not want to get seriously emotionally involved. That eventually changes when he met Yu Nabi.

In the revealed teaser image today, Song Kang and Han So Hee are captured in the same frame with faint smiles and deep gazes preluding to a vivid relationship between them.

Park Jae-eon’s hand gently wraps on Yu Nabi’s hand hinting at their close relationship. The text ‘hyperreal romance’ in the middle raises the curiosity about the hot and cold ‘genuine romance’ they will draw.

The drama anticipates a sweet and bitter ‘taste of love’ through the fateful meeting of people with love reservations and those with undefined relationships.

Nevertheless is set to broadcast once a week beginning June 19, 11 PM on JTBC for 10 episodes. International fans can watch it on Netflix.
