“Our Blooming Youth” Peeks At The Daily Life of Park Hyung Sik As A Cursed Crown Prince

In a previous teaser video, a threatening force was directed against the cursed Crown Prince Lee Hwan.

Lee Hwan is a Joseon Crown Prince with a handsome face but a harsh and arrogant personality. He has all the perfect qualities including superb martial arts skills and outstanding intelligence that has an eidetic memory. But then, a mysterious curse bound him.

Facing a series of crises while questioning who is responsible for the curse, he works with Min Jae-yi (Jeon So Nee) to uncover the truth for the sake of mutual survival.

If the curse he is hiding is revealed, it will compromise him since the court officials are waiting for something that would doubt his qualifications to be the next king. As such, Lee Hwan pushes his tenacity to overcome his curse and keep his place.

Conveying his first impression of Our Blooming Youth, Park resonated right away with his character.

“When I first received and read the script, I fell in love without knowing it. I was immersed in the story. I felt compassion for the character Lee Hwan, and I saw his inner innocence and uprightness. He was attractive.”

Describing his character, he compared it to an 8-colored bird and also disclosed how he prepared to bring out those colors.

“You can see various faces. From a cute and innocent childhood, full of doubts and fears to the process of growing up while solving cases, and also his playfulness. I kept thinking about what emotions and thoughts Lee Hwan would have had in this situation. I also stick in the role.”

When asked about his chemistry with Jeon So Nee, he responded it is like “four seasons”.

“From the moment Lee Hwan and Min Jae-yi met to the last moment, I felt as if I was watching the four seasons.”

Inviting fans, Park Hyung Sik tips viewers to anticipate how the characters would solve the problem in the story while working together.
