Facing life’s harsh realities, the two actors are set to paint stellar characters challenged to prove how far their mettle can run.

Treading on stories of ordinary people striving hard to get by in life, they realize nothing to hold on to their life’s downward path. Jeon Do Yeon takes the role of a woman who lost her way without having a chance to do something to evade it.

Meanwhile, Ryu Jun Yeol portrays a man at the twilight of his youth who feels incompetent to do something. Together, they confront agonizing moments of healing that would raise sympathy.


High Class | Sept 6 | tvN

Appearing to have a perfect life, High Class is set to expose the lies, secrets, mysteries, suspense, and hypocrisy of the 0.1% of Korean women. 

Song Yeo-wool (Cho Yeo Jeong) loses everything overnight as she is suspected of murdering her husband. She is a lawyer, and in an attempt to protect her daughter, she heads to the elite school where her daughter is studying at.

However, despite that move, she faces intense judgment from society and bad rumors spread.


Yumi’s Cells | Sept 17 | tvN

Directed by Lee Sang Yeob and written by Song Jae Jung along with Kim Yoon Joo, the drama tells the story of Yumi (Kim Go Eun), who works as an ordinary officer and is controlled by every cell in her body, including her every thought, feelings, and actions.

After a failed relationship, Yumi’s love cell has fallen into a coma, and her other cells are exerting efforts to awaken her love cell once again. 

The drama would depict the growth transformation of Yumi as she met different people and start falling in love again.


The Veil | Sept 17 | MBC

The Veil tells the story of a top National Intelligence Service agent, Han Ji Hyuk (Namgoong Min). He mysteriously vanished and came back to his organization one year later. 

As he searches for the person behind his disappearance, he discovered a bigger enemy. The series is based on the winning piece of 2018 MBC drama script written by Park Seok Ho.


One The Woman | Sept 17 | SBS

The new SBS Friday and Saturday drama adds more fuel following the slot to be vacated by the hit series The Penthouse. Director Choi Young Hoon (Good Casting, Band Of Sisters) and Writer Kim Yoon confirm their collaboration for One The Woman

Choo Yeon Joo, played by Honey Lee, is a prosecutor who lost her memories in a car accident. When she wakes up, she becomes Kang Min Ah, an heiress to a villainous chaebol family.

Moreover, Choo Yeon Joo is a daughter of a gangster who passed the Seoul National University Law School impeccably. On the other hand, Kang Min Ah is also the daughter-in-law of the leading conglomerate company in Korea.


Squid Game | Sept 17 | Netflix

The series follows an interesting and unique story involving 456 contestants risking their lives in a mysterious survival game with 45.6 billion won at stake.

It is the first TV series of director Hwang Dong-hyuk, whose previous works such as Silenced, Miss Granny, and The Fortress have offered insightful and poignant messages about society.

Lee Jung Jae plays Ki-hun, who lost his job and hit the rock bottom, while Park Hae Soo plays Sang-woo, who gets into trouble after embezzling his company’s funds, to capture the raw realities of those who risk their lives through a survival game.

Slated for September premiere, the romantic-comedy series follows the romance between the daughter of a prestigious family who wants to save a ruined art museum and the man who lacks book smarts but is extremely good at making a living.

Set in a rural town in 1999, Hometown follows detective Choi Hyung In (Yoo Jae Myung) as he solves a bizarre case that took place in 1989. In that year, Jo Kyung Ho (Uhm Tae Goo) turns himself after killing passengers in a train station in his hometown.

While Jo Kyung Ho convicts of life imprisonment, his daughter Jo Jae Young (Lee Re), lives with her aunt, Jo Jung Hyun (Han Ye Ri).
