Suiting up to detective roles, Shin Ha Kyun and Yeo Jin Goo chalked up new project on tvN!
Dubbed as sophisticated psychological thriller, 괴물 Beyond Title (WT) depicts the story of two detectives who get entangled with a cryptic serial killer case. It aims a first half of 2021 broadcast date.
To be directed by Shim Na Yun who was praised for youth drama, At Eighteen, the script will be worked on by Kim Soo Jin. Writer Kim has been well-received for her previous works including The Light in Your Eyes and Mad Dog.
Exploring the story of two men who break laws and principles in order to catch a serial killer, a remarkable acting feast is expected from Shin Ha Kyun and Yeo Jin Goo.
Shin Ha Kyun takes the role of Manyang Police station’s Lee Dong Sik, a police officer living a peaceful daily life. However, his life changes when he meets his new partner and boss, Han Joo Won, to be portrayed by Yeo Jin Goo.
Blessed in life with career, wealth and good looks, Joo Won’s life changes when he confronts the same situation that changed his new partner’s life 20 years ago.
Revealing the reason for choosing Monster as his new work, Yeo Jin Goo cited its distinct difference from the existing thriller genre. It also employs realistic characters and emotional structure.
“Han Joo-won is a cynical and lonely person, but he lives in reality with a firm resolve. I will live as Joo-won by capturing the texture of emotion in detail. I am excited because I think I can show you a new look,” Yeo said.
Recently, Shin wrapped up drama, Fix You, which has been acclaimed for tackling mental issues.
Currently, Yeo stars in tvN travel variety show, House on Wheels.
