In The Heavenly Idol, Kim Min Kyu plays a powerful high priest who finds himself possessing the body of a K-pop idol.
It is based on a popular novel (Holy Idol LT) that has since been adapted into a webtoon owing to the love received from fans.
Suiting up to the titular role, Kim Min Kyu portrays Lembrary, after a battle with the demon king, he wakes up inside the body of a handsome idol named Woo Yeon-woo.
K-Drama fans can look forward to the comedy of the story since a “holy god” is supposed to adapt to an idol life. Interestingly, avid Kim Min Kyu fans know that he can sing well, thus, making his new role worth checking out.

In the character stills shared, Kim Min Kyu delights as Lembrary, the best high priest with a merciful and dignified figure.
While confronting the demon king, he suddenly becomes a member of Wild Animal, a Korean idol group labeled as “ruined”. Thus, he begins an idol adaptation period.
The revealed stills of Lembrary’s transformation as idol Woo Yeon-woo is the comeback stage of the 5-year-old idol group, Wild Animal.
Donning a fancy stage costume and makeup, Woo Yeon-woo stands on the stage with an awkward expression, like a child forced to do something he does not want.
The members of Wild Animal, who do not know the reason for his behavior, are putting unspoken pressure on him to dance while he is in formation, drawing attention.
Above all, while opening his arms wide, the solid abs of Woo Yeon-woo are revealed stealing the spotlight.
The production team tips that the stills released captured the first major accident that Lembrary committed after becoming Yeon-woo.
