Ha Yoon Kyung Glows Up As Daring Secretary With Big Dreams in “Undercover Miss Hong”

Ha Yoon Kyung is turning heads with a bold transformation in tvN’s upcoming weekend drama Undercover Miss Hong.

Newly released stills introduce her as Go Bok-hee, offering a first peek at a character brimming with style, ambition, and irresistible charm.

Set in the late 1990s, Undercover Miss Hong is a retro office comedy that follows Sammo Hung (Park Shin Hye), a sharp 30-year-old securities supervisor who goes undercover as a 20-something rookie employee to investigate suspicious money flows inside a securities firm.

Ha Yoon Kyung plays Go Bok-hee, the president’s personal secretary at Hanmin Securities. Striding through the otherwise monochrome Yeouido in eye-catching polka dots, Bok-hee is anything but ordinary. She’s confident, savvy, and unapologetically ambitious—a lovable go-getter whose ultimate goal is to strike it rich and live freely as a self-styled “California Girl.” Her carefully laid plans, however, begin to wobble after crossing paths with her new roommate, Hong Jang-mi (Park Shin-hye).

The newly unveiled stills capture Bok-hee’s vibrant duality: the flawless top-tier secretary who executes her work with razor-sharp precision, and the commanding “big sister” who rules the household with flair. Her flashy styling and vivid presence perfectly recreate the retro aesthetics of the ’90s, highlighting Ha Yoon-kyung’s spot-on synchronization with the role.

Anticipation is building for the dynamic that unfolds when a group of women—each harboring secrets of their own—end up living under one roof. As the de facto leader of the house, Go Bok-hee will navigate shifting alliances with her roommates, including Sammo Hung, who is hiding her true identity as an elite supervisor. Their relationship promises a lively mix of friendship, friction, and sparkling womance.

Undercover Miss Hong premieres on January 17 on tvN, inviting viewers into a stylish, secret-filled retro ride.
