Big Mouth Episode 6 Highlights

“I’ll give you one chance. The moment you lie, it’s over between us.”

Mi-ho’s father convinces her to put her trust in Chang-ho since he is just acting. However, Mi-ho remains bothered thinking of how people mysteriously died and their debts were resolved immediately.

Joining the hospital’s volunteer program, Mi-ho gets noticed by the wife of Gong Ji-hoon, the warden, and the prison guard.

Although he initially didn’t want to participate and go out, Chang-ho changes his mind when he hears that Mi-ho is part of the medical volunteers visiting.

In order to secure a peaceful meeting, Chang-ho orders his followers to lock the VIPs in the storage room.

While Dr. Han is being suspected by his fellow VIPs of receiving special treatment from Chang-ho, he clears this out by saying it is a scheme to drift them all apart.

Greeted and identified as the wife of ‘big mouse’, Mi-ho feels embarrassed by the loud chants of the inmates. A prison guard picks her up, telling her that she no longer needs to wait for the event to finish to meet Chang-ho.

Bringing her into the underground room, Mi-ho pushes Chang-ho away who was excited to meet her.

She directly asks if he is really ‘big mouse’, but Chang-ho hesitates to answer, scanning the room, and brings her out to the fields to be safe.

The warden watching them on a screen feels frustrated since he can no longer hear their conversation in the field.

“I had no idea what you were going through, and I doubted you foolishly.”

Now in a safer place, Chang-ho begins his story starting from when he received the fake list from Mayor Choi.

During that time, his head was sacked and fell asleep unconscious. Jerry finds him unconscious and passed out.

Touching his pockets, he finds a tarot card with names. Decoding the card, he interprets it as a blessing in disguise, and confirms it was from ‘big mouse’ through the symbol at the back.

Deducing Mayor Choi’s urgency on the day he met with Gong Ji-hoon, Chang-ho recalls using the names on the tarot card as the name of the real drug clients.

Through communicating with the tarot cards, Chang-ho has become aware of the series of events ‘big mouse’ orchestrated.

Now that he received the judgment card, Chang-ho takes it as a mission to reveal and punish the murderers of Professor Seo.

Mi-ho tries to question why her husband should follow, and Chang-ho responds to her saying he could die if he does otherwise.

He feels confident that they are using each other mutually through the bible in the confessional. Moreover, Chang-ho feels assured in both catching ‘big mouse’ and finding Professor Seo’s paper.

Willing to keep quiet about her husband’s activities, Mi-ho pledges to find Professor Seo’s paper.

“There are all sorts of pieces of garbage. Do you know who’s the worst of them? Traitors.”

Working as a medical volunteer, Mi-ho wonders about the difference between the blue and red specimen holders at the head nurse’s table.

Visiting her husband, Professor Jang worries about the cameras in the room with Dr. Han. Interpreting it as being unwanted by his wife, Dr. Han bursts into anger, suspecting his wife of having an affair.

Suffocating his wife with his mood swings, Dr. Han tells his wife about the possibility of being released through a sick bail.

Knowing details about the staff that works with Mi-ho, Chang-ho pokes at their secrets, shocking the head nurse whose husband is also in penitentiary and Gong Ji-hoon’s wife who paid the judges in a recent event.

Noticing that Professor Jang is in pain, Mi-ho reassures her that she is ready to help, but the professor refuses her kindness.

Meanwhile, the elder favors Mayor Choi over Ji-hoon, and lets him handle the meeting with the judge in charge of the sick bail.

A patient’s guardian, Kim Kyung-sook calls Mi-ho and tells her that she has Professor Seo’s paper. Doubting initially as Kyung-sook asks for money, Mi-ho hears from her that the paper is in the cross necklace of a lady.

Asking who the lady is, Kyung-sook falls from the building, seemingly pushed by a person while on call.

Recalling from a program that Joo-hee has a cross necklace, Mi-ho rushes to the afterparty organized by Ji-hoon’s wife.

Trying to grab the necklace, Mi-ho tells Joo-hee that Kyung-sook died in the hospital. Joo-hee hands the necklace, and Mi-ho sees nothing in it.

Unknown to them, Professor Jang was in a cubicle frightened by what she heard.

Chang-ho receives the chariot card after asking for the dismissal of the sick bail of the VIPs. He then interprets it as a move he has to handle on his own, and threatens Dr. Han from betraying with fire.

“Those without any roots think money is everything.”

Mi-ho tells Mayor Choi about her decision to trust Chang-ho, and assures him that she no longer needs his help.

Rather than helping, the mayor sees it as cooperation to find Professor Seo’s paper. They then watch a replay of a program that shows Professor Jang also having a cross necklace.

Realizing what she has, Professor Jang recalls how Professor Seo tended to her wounds and bruises when she was running away from her abusive husband, Dr. Han.

In that warm relationship, Professor Seo gifts Professor Jang a necklace, which turns out to contain his thesis.

Congratulated for their sick bail, the warden feels proud of being at the top, referring to Chang-ho just as a rat.

Dr. Han gets left out from the sick bail after the two VIPs caught him dealing with Chang-ho. The two leave feeling confident that even Chairman Yang turned his back on Chang-ho.

Although he looked shaken by the events, Chang-ho laughs hard after, which confuses Jerry.

Big Mouth Episode 6 Musings

Even as a viewer, like Mi-ho, one can get confused in trusting Chang-ho. This episode confirms that Chang-ho is not ‘big mouse’, but it gives us an idea that he has contact with him.

While Chang-ho was getting sacked, the inmate number of the person grabbing can be glimpsed. The number and the color of the patch could give viewers a hint about who it is.

Chang-ho feels confident in using ‘big mouse’ and discovering his identity. However, the question of whether he can outsmart the skillful criminal still lies.

More about Professor Seo’s paper is also shown in this episode, revealing that the wife of Dr. Han unknowingly has it in her necklace.

For the next episodes, it appears that Chang-ho begins to suspect Jerry after touching the tarot card in the confessional. Although he may have proclaimed himself as a fan of ‘big mouse’, it’s also possible that he is the man himself or someone who works directly for him.
