“If you live in hardship, you either rely or blame others.”

Planning ahead, Se-yeon agrees with Jae-heon, Yoon-hee, and Mr. Jeong to keep on pretending that she doesn’t know of their act in front of Se-jun who is also keeping silent about it.

Revisiting Chairwoman Ja’s past, Mr. Jeong testifies how the chairwoman saved his life in the past as a thug. Jae-heon and Yoon-hee feel amazed learning about Mr. Jeong’s and Jeong-suk’s younger days.

Using information she retrieved from her mom, Yoon-hee advises Se-yeon to raise the stock prices of the hotel in order to limit Se-jun’s buying power.

“Everything I did was because I deemed it my duty. I have no regrets about my decision.”

Dong-jae informs Jae-heon that he already knows about his secret. Mr. Jeong asks him to keep it a secret, but Dong-jae admits he feels uncomfortable with the fact that Jae-heon is a hovering stranger around Se-yeon.

Se-jun confronts Yoon-hee about their lie, but she begs him to keep it a secret since she wants to help Ji-won. Playing golf together, Ji-won’s friend, Sang-ji gets exposed for her lie about graduating from Harvard.

Moon-seong’s boss catches up with him near his grandmother’s place, informing him of the liver ready for his sick wife, Jin-suk.

“You need love to date someone, but you can marry out of necessity.”

Sharing about herself, Yoon-hee tells Jae-heon about how she joined their theater group after graduating early from law school. Overhearing that conversation, Mr. Jeong offers subtle advice to Yoon-hee about expressing herself honestly.

Appreciated for making Chairwoman Ja happy while singing, Yoon-hee collaborates with Ji-won in preparing an event for Chairwoman Ja. Like a salon outside their house, Yoon-hee warms the chairwoman’s heart.

Meanwhile, Moon-seong meets up with Se-jun and agrees with his plans of disposing of the hotel that they both despise.

Se-yeon and Dong-jae announce their plans for marriage to the press and Chairwoman Ja. Attempting to tell her feelings for Jae-heon, Yoon-hee misses the chance after Jae-heon confesses his feelings for Se-yeon.

Curtain Call Episodes 11 and 12 Musings

Se-yeon’s reaction to the play created by Mr. Jeong was less dramatic than expected. The way she chose to join it was fitting since it might be a drag if she pretends for too long that she doesn’t know about it.

Chairwoman Ja talks about how convinced she is that the grandson she’s reunited with is real because he is a spitting image of her first husband.

Thinking of how that could be possible, we are reminded that Jae-heon’s roots are unclear yet. Only his mother who left him at an amusement park is confirmed.

While the conflict of Se-jun knowing about Jae-heon is ongoing, Yoon-hee finds herself wanting to confess to Jae-heon. However, Jae-heon’s confession to Se-yeon comes first.

They’re no longer cousins, but Se-yeon is set to be married, and being shaken by that confession opens up the possibility of the marriage not pushing through. If she turns out to give up Dong-jae’s shares, Moon-seong who also despises the hotel would least likely join her purpose.
