Dr. Romantic 3 Episodes 5 Highlights

As patients come in, the doctors move to save lives. However, the patient that A-reum and the rookie doctors work on fail to survive.

In contrast, Eun-jae successfully put a patient back to life. The same patient she shares with Sun-woong when the case would help with the latter’s practical knowledge.

“In life, you will run along more people you don’t get along with than the ones you do.”

Master Kim’s turn came to convince Woo-jin to use his talent at the Trauma Center. Confessing to his master that he does not get along with Professor Cha, Master Kim advises him that it’s normal to meet people he can’t get along with.

True to what Master Kim predicted, making Dr. Yang the Plan B sent Woo-jin back to the trauma center and he also goes for a joint surgery with Professor Cha.

All set to meet the Assemblywoman who will review the funding for Trauma Center, Dr. Park rushes back.

Unfortunately, a high schooler came with the rest of the gravely injured patients. He was put in the observation room since he appeared okay. Dr. Jung forgot that Nurse Oh informed him to check on the patient.

Eun-jae who was just done tending her patient notices the Assemblywoman’s son and failed to resuscitate him.

Furious about the fate of her son, the Assemblywoman declares filing a criminal charge.

But through his expertise, Professor Cha explains the situation in Trauma Center prioritizes those that badly needed surgery. He also points out why her secretaries were with her son and why she hasn’t even checked out on them.

Deeming she’s not in the position to file charges, the Assemblyman warns that she will use politics for the Trauma Center to not operate.

Dr. Romantic 3 Episode 5 Musings

Doldam newbies are sure to enliven the mood of Dr. Romantic 3 with their growing pains as doctors. While Dong-hwa continues his immaturity spree, Sun-woong continues to thread nervously on the path he chose. Hopefully, they get the guidance they need for them to realize their potential and motivations as doctors.

Eun-tak is bottling up his emotions aka jealousy with Dong-hwa. We can only wish that A-reum notices that their water does not flow in the same stream.

We also see a different side of Professor Cha in this episode. Competent and experienced, Master Kim’s high regard for him is sure because of these qualities. Seemingly, he is understanding what his rival really means for him to have a dream. Let’s hope that he pushes for more meaningful actions now that he leads the Trauma Center.

This episode also reminds us not to become overwhelmed by our preconceived idea of someone when we don’t know the person entirely.

Just like how Woo-jin was apathetic to the father of his woman and rival of his mentor. Their joint surgery at least opened a professional relationship that can prosper to a personal level.

The same goes for Dong-hwa’s annoyance at being tested on his position as a doctor by competent nurses who have more experience than him. Master Kim blatantly challenged him to work on his skills and not blame the nurses who just don’t want mistakes to be committed since reading ultrasound is a basic and important skill for doctors.

With the funding of the Trauma Center at risk of not being fulfilled, can Master Kim and Dr. Park come up with a solution?
