Forecasting Love and Weather

Forecasting Love And Weather Episode 11 & 12 Key Moments

Previously in Forecasting Love and Weather, looming relationship breaks were declared. Whether it will lead to a finality relies on how the misunderstandings can be fixed.

Interestingly, the two couples featured in the series face similar predicaments. It can’t be avoided given the four of them technically switched partners.

“I can’t imagine being married. Still, I want to love you because I like you so much. But if I confused you, I’m sorry. I’m sorry I hurried to love you when I can’t promise you anything. So, if you want to rethink our relationship, you can.”

It’s business as usual at KMA, and the rain that has still yet to pour is what the office worries about. When Head Director asked Ha-kyung about the team’s Jeju representative, Si-woo raises his hand as the man in charge of the task.

After the meeting, the secret office lovers chat in the pantry. Feeling frustrated, Si-woo burst out and pours all the feelings he has bottled up. Relaying how he hated being compared to Ha-kyung’s ex-boyfriend, he also cited his awareness of how different their marriage perspectives were.

He proposes for her to ponder on what their relationship means while they are apart.

Ha-kyung’s day continues to get stressful as KMA receives criticisms from circulating articles. She heads to find Ki-jun who is unfortunately in a sour mood.

Eventually, he realizes how his situation seemingly mirrors his relationship with Ha-kyung before. Now, he can empathize with Yu-jin’s woes. His inadvertent pep talk also reaches Ha-kyung’s understanding of what Si-woo just told him.

“You have to work things out when you get married. Two people are raised by different sets of parents. They lived in two different worlds for years. How can they be hand-in-glove overnight? It’d be weird if they were.”

At night, Chief Ko’s Team 2 weather forecasters were supposed to convene for the team dinner. SF Eom who rushed his daughter who had an allergy attack was accompanied by Si-woo to the hospital. Hence, he wasn’t able to go as he initially promised.

Unknown to Ha-kyung, her mother also meets Si-woo for dinner. She also gives unsolicited marriage advice to him. But when she brings up match-making Seok-ho and his woman, he strongly drew the line perplexing Ha-kyung’s mother.

Going for a ladies’ pep rally since they got stood up; Ha-kyung, Myung-ju and Su-jin paint the town red with alcohol, fun, and laughter. Leaving Ha-kyung at a park, she entrusted her to Si-woo to bring her home.

“I want to make things work. I want things to work out between us. But this is all I can do. Loving someone moderately, liking someone moderately and being moderately stable is what I like to do. When I go over that line, I become anxious. I feel like I’m a different person. I can only do moderately.”

Alcohol-intoxicated, Ha-kyung faintly beams at the sight of her man. She responds to his emotional outburst earlier with a heartfelt declaration of wanting their relationship to proceed.

She also urges him to ponder if he can compromise with her choice of a safe relationship. Sincerely conveying how she can’t give more than what she can take, Si-woo heads to Jeju Island feeling unsettled by the ambiguity of their relationship.

Forecasting Love and Weather

“Relationships change. They either improve or worsen. They change with time. They are bound to change as emotions build up between them. That the minor misunderstandings and disagreements affect our relationship without knowing, and they drive us apart. All that I wanted was this. I just wanted to have some personal time with each other. Where did we go wrong? When did we go down the path with no knowledge of what awaits us?”

Si-woo arrives at Jeju Island and greets the headquarters team from the scheduled daily meeting. KMA is busy monitoring a looming strong typhoon.

Ha-kyung learns from her mother about the dinner with Si-woo and pries if she knows Si-woo adores her.

Joining the dispatched Jeju team member to check on automated weather stations, Si-woo chances upon Yu-jin who also went to the island to visit her mother.

While on dispatch, the two were asked to do a special observation in connection with the approaching typhoon. Yu-jin’s family come with them to do the special observation because of her brother’s request.

After work, Ha-kyung and Ki-jun end up dining together and belatedly confess their honest thoughts about each other. They also both acknowledge that they are just really not meant for each other.

“There are many things we wouldn’t know unless we express them.”

Misfortune befalls Si-woo as he met an accident. By chance, he met Yu-jin at Jeju island. Breaking down in front of Ki-jun, she blames him for making her overly guarded about her emotions.

Trust Si-woo’s father to know how to create a mess instead of taking care of his son first in the hospital. He visits KMA and runs amok for compensation.

Knowing his character, Ha-kyung subdues his nonsense by proposing he come with her to Jeju island. But her decision only complicates the matter as Si-woo’s father is bent on milking out money out of his son’s situation.

At the hospital, an expected altercation ensues with Si-woo vocally disrespecting his father earning him a punch.

Ha-kyung follows Si-woo and he tells her how he cannot change his relationship with his father. Under the pouring stormy rain, Si-woo gives the answer to the hanging question of their relationship and tells Ha-kyung that he can no longer proceed with their relationship.

Forecasting Love And Weather Episode 11 & 12 Musings

Featured relationships in Forecasting Love and Weather literally took a typhoon route in the 6th week. While misunderstandings are clarified, the emotional damages outweigh the choices to keep or not the relationship.

Probably the most deplorable situation among the love stories is SF Eom’s relationship with his wife whose lividness easily makes viewers annoyed too. Even now, it’s hard to understand where she’s coming from.

Down the last four episodes, the point where Ha-kyung and Si-woo reach an accurate assessment and firm decision of what they mean to each other shapes the conclusion we can look forward to.

Aside from that, the side love stories we hope to blossom and just end inevitably happen. Rooting for Tae-kyung and Seok-ho for the blatant reason that they are meant to be, hopefully, push through. The same way that Ki-jun and Yu-jin should work harder for their marriage and reconcile.

Will Ha-kyung and Si-woo really give up on their relationship?
