From Now On, Showtime! Episode 8 Key Moments

The Grim Reaper

Cha-Woong and Seul-Hae continue to partner up as they solve the case of Mrs. Yoon who was brutally attacked by her husband. Mrs. Yoon’s soul can talk to Cha-Woong and she confesses that her killer is close to him.

However, the Grim Reaper appears to fetch Mrs. Yoon’s soul. Cha-Woong and Seul-Hae ask him if he can still give three more days for the woman. This is because the two wanted to catch the real culprit so that Mrs. Yoon can leave at peace.

Leaving him with no choice, Cha-Woong invites the Grim Reaper to his home. The ghosts are all scared because the Grim Reaper might bring them to the next life. Luckily, the General Spirit is friends with the Grim Reaper.

They were classmates 2,000 years ago and their bond is exceptional. Cha-Woong asks the General Spirit if he can buy them some time so that the Grim Reaper will not be a hinder as they catch the culprit. To entertain the Grim Reaper, the ghosts offer him a variety of food.

Moreover, the General Spirit also introduces him to amusement parks. They enjoy riding different rides and talk about their teenage days. They also went back to the time when they compete in Jegichagi to see who will confess first.

In the end, the General Spirit kicks 30,000 times just to make the Grim Reaper stay.

Back to Life

On the other hand, Cha-Woong and Seul-Hae are busy plotting their operation to catch Mrs. Yoon’s husband. This is quite hard because they don’t have enough evidence to prove this.

During their operation, the husband booked a suite in a hotel. Cha-Woong and Seul-Hae also book a room in the same hotel to trail the man and gather evidence. The ghosts also help in getting information by recording the conversation of the man with his accomplice.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Yoon is satisfied because the two got a shred of evidence that can prove that her husband is the culprit. When it’s time to leave, the Grim Reaper fetches Mrs. Yoon but the name on his card changed. Instead of Mrs. Yoon, her husband is the one who is destined to die.

From Now On, Showtime! Episode 8 Musings

As a new case is solved again by the two, Cha-Woong finally feels inspired again after helping other people. Unlike in the past episodes, he has now the heart to use his ability to see ghosts to serve justice.

On the other hand, it’s a bit confusing if Seul-Hae likes Hee-Soo as a friend or more than that. When Hee-Soo reminds her of their date, she seems very happy. However, she also sees the real Cha-Woong that has the heart to help other people.
