The Rivalry Begins

Starting the episode, Cha-woong knows that he already has romantic feelings for Seul-hae. He even asks his co-magician about the magic trick that he can use to give her a ring.

However, Detective Hee-soo has already asked Seul-hae for a date. The two eat at a fine dining restaurant while the ghosts surround them and update Cha-woong on what’s happening.

After they eat, they went to play bowling, and Cha-woong intentionally also go there to spy on them. However, Hee-soo spots Cha-woong and challenges him to play bowling. Technically, Hee-soo has the advantage because he’s athletic.

That’s why he goals every single time he plays. Meanwhile, Cha-woong can’t even take down one pin. The ghosts are all disappointed in him because he doesn’t know how to play. In the end, they help him to make a strike and ends up winning the game.

After they play, Hee-soo talks to Cha-woong if he can leave because he will confess his feelings for Seul-Hae. This breaks Cha-woong’s heart because he’s already late in pursuing her.

Hee-Soo’s Confession

When Hee-soo got the perfect time to tell his feelings for Seul-hae, he saw them holding hands thinking that she already accepted her feelings.

However, when Hee-Soo confessed, Cha-woong pops up in Seul-Hae’s head. Thus, she tells him to give her some time to think about it. She knows that she starts liking Cha-woong because she saw his true self during their missions.

The Full Moon Murderer

Meanwhile, Hee-Soo’s father, Seo Chang-Ho (the one who shot the full moon murderer in the head years ago), saw the same man again. He knows that he’s already back, that’s why he asked the gangsters to kill him.

However, Tae-choon is so strong because of the evil spirit within him. Cha-woong’s grandmother also tells the story of how the spirit got free from its seal. When Cha-woong was in high school, he was bullied by his classmates because they came from the family of Shamans.

His classmates destroy relics and things in their home including the vessel of the bad spirit. The grandmother talks to Cha-woong and said that the only way to defeat the evil spirit is for him to become a shaman.

Moreover, Seul-Hae is also in danger because she has something that the evil spirit wants. She is ready to become the bait because she wants to avenge her father. Now that the enemy is near, the whole team starts planning on how they can defeat it.

From Now On, Showtime! Episode 9 Musings

From Now On, Showtime’s plot gets better every episode. How the drama balanced the romance and fantasy is just commendable.

We can expect that in the next episodes, Seul-hae and Cha-woong’s relationship would sail more. It’s obvious that she likes Cha-woong more than Hee-soo. They are also fated to meet each other again in this life.

Tae-choon who is possessed by the evil spirit, gave great anticipation to the drama’s viewers because Cha-woong should decide to be a shaman so that they can defeat him.

We’re not sure what will happen to him but we trust Cha-woong and his team that they can put the spirit back to its seal.
