Ghost Doctor Episode 8 Key Moments

“And naturally, you shouldn’t remember. Imagine if you can remember being a ghost in your past life. Could he live like that? He couldn’t.”

Arriving in the motorcycle rider’s room, Seung Tak greets him on reentering the world, asking him whether he knows who he is. Unfortunately, the motorcycle rider had no memory of him.

Following that, the patient rider receives a call from someone, which Young Min believes is compensation from those who forced him to lie. Seung Tak storms out of the room and walks straight to Han Seung Won’s office.

In correspondence, Seung Tak advises his cousin not to cross the line, warning that it would not end well for him.

Visiting Young Min’s body, Dr. Jang allows the motorcycle rider to see him. He asks Se Jin if there’s a possibility that he could wake up. Se Jin replies to him that he can only do it with the help of the above.

Hesitating to ask someone who needs absolute rest, Se Jin tries to ask the patient if there is anything he can tell them about the accident. He, however, insisted that he did not and that the incident occurred too hastily.

Afterwards, Young Min looks out the window at the motorcycle rider and his sister. The veteran ghost enlightens him that the patient is not lying and that he really is unable to recall.

Indicating that it is natural for a ghost to forget his previous existence, the veteran ghost explains to Young Min that if the rider did remember, he would be unable to live in peace.

Young Min inquires whether that’s also the divine’s will. Conversely, the seasoned ghost answers that both the ghost and the living must forget in order to maintain order in the world.

“A father who can’t do his job right is bound to raise his son wrong.”

Seung Tak refuses to believe what he just heard from the veteran ghost. This prompts him to remind the motorcycle patient of their deal.

Later, the other ghosts took some bottles of Soju by possessing human patients. They quickly retrieved the bottles from the veteran ghost and fled.

Generously requesting a bottle of soju from the ghosts, Chairman Jang uses it to make his farewell toast to Young Min. He also apologizes to Young Min for disrupting his life with Se Jin. And, he asks whether Young Min would allow the Chairman to bear responsibility for his son’s misdeeds.

Using an article regarding the chairman’s still unconscious, Seung Tak and the others utilize this as a trick to assemble those people involved in the incident with Chairman Jang and Professor Cha.

Proving their speculations right, Han Seung Won, the chairman’s son, and Dr. An rushed to Chairman Jang’s room.

An unexpected guest visits Chairman Jang, much to the surprise of the chairman’s son. The one who he frantically wants to locate is Lawyer Im, the chairman’s attorney.

By revealing Chairman Jang’s last will and DNR order form to everyone, the chairman wields his final card to sentence his own son to imprisonment as a form of punishment.

“What’s the point of doing nothing? All I have is time. You may not know, but all ghosts have is time and our job is to wait.”

To honor the patient’s wishes, Dr. Jang with heavy heart withdraws Chairman Jang’s life support, as there are no signs of meaningful brain activity and all tests indicate that he is breathing involuntarily.

Se Jin then takes time to mourn for the late Chairman, while Young Min assumes the body of Seung Tak to pay his respects.

Back at the hospital, Seung Tak discusses with Young Min whether he would quit now that he has completed most of the things he needed to accomplish. On the contrary, Young Min observes that what is the sense of doing nothing if all ghosts are dependent on time and their sole purpose is to wait?

While they wait for the ideal moment, Young Min encourages Seung Tak to assist with some of his professor’s ongoing surgeries.

Ghost Doctor Episode 8 Musings

As revealed in the latest episode of Ghost Doctor, Ko Seung Tak’s ability to see ghosts appears to have originated with his grandfather.

We have seen Seung Tak’s grandfather beaming with joy as he saw him with the veteran ghost. The nature of the relationship between the two gentlemen remains an open question for us.

Furthermore, this has been a heartbreaking chapter as we witnessed Jang Se Jin struggle to make a choice as a doctor and mourn her father’s decision to withdraw life support as a daughter.

Admirably, Ghost Doctor episode 8 is a notable phase in the series’ narrative in which several events occur. Especially the one in which Young Min miraculously had meaningful brain activity.

Apart from this, how Chairman Jang has accepted responsibility for his son’s actions astounds us as to how a conflict relating to the Chairman’s situation has been resolved. However, there are a few underlying problems, most prominently Professor Cha’s accident, which have remained unresolved.
