Little Women Episode 6 Highlights

Previously, In-kyung’s message about Park Jae-sang’s hypocrisy was heard loud and clear at the press conference, but the aspiring politician’s camp did not make any comment.

“Are the rich always the assailants while the poor are the victims? That is nothing but a self-centered delusion of the poor.”

Hearing Hyo-rin’s reasons who insists her father is innocent, In-joo already has reservations that something does not add up to the recent revelations.

Hyo-rin explains how she saw the scene in her painting and occasionally it will resurface because of a certain scent. Listening to her friend’s story, In-hye remembers her own experience of being able to see the sister she never saw. Thus, they conclude that the blue orchid induces hallucination.

When Hyo-rin declares not to give the memory card bearing the video footage; In-joo relents, but later goes back to retrieve it. Her action is seen through by In-hye who argues that her sister is not even sure if her friend was really murdered.

Meanwhile, In-kyung continues to create damage to Park Jae-sang’s reputation by revealing his father has amassed unexplained wealth which contrasts with his self-made story to the press.

Unknown to In-kyung, their Great Aunt’s company has been facing setbacks ever since she paid the bill in the hospital. Later, she deduces it was caused by Park Jae Sang and strikes a deal with him.

At a press conference, Park Jae-sang explains how the money in his father’s name actually came from General Won, and the money was later used to finance the foundations they established. Bouncing back even stronger from In-kyung’s attack, the latter was rescued by In-hye and was brought to their Great Aunt’s house.

“If I wanted to complain about my life, I could’ve done so and more. But I figured that’s just how life was. If I had not been a bad person just as you wished, I would be dead already.”

Great Aunt explains the situation is something far above what In-kyung can’t handle. The former also escapes her questioning by emphasizing everything she did is for them to survive. She tells her to stop attacking Park Jae-sang or her company will suffer.

Still, stubborn In-kyung refuses to halt even when In-joo asked her to do the same. She further probes but Great Aunt knows where she’s heading and asked someone to shred files that she will need.

Later, In-joo meets Sang-ah at the hospital where her father, General Won is admitted. She received a blue orchid gift from Sang-ah and was asked to go to Singapore. Do-il who saw In-kyung coming from the hospital calls to meet her quickly, but she refuses.

She finds him just the same in front of her Great Aunt’s house so she tells him to at least give her a chance to think everything over.

“All the deaths are connected by this orchid.”

After sniffing the orchid given by Sang-ah, In-joo asks her Great Aunt for a quick chat and proposes to bring down Park Jae-sang with the ledgers in her possession and the secret she knows from being acquainted with Jae-sang’s father. But her Great Aunt dismisses the idea.

She also reveals to her about the painting done by Hyo-rin and points out the orchid hidden in the painting which momentarily changed the usual stoic demeanor of her Great Aunt.

At the same time, In-kyung and Jong-ho figure out the connections among Jeongran society, an organization founded in the 1970s to which her Great Aunt used to belong. What’s odd is that most of the members already died.

High from the effects of the blue orchid, In-joo gets up and walks aimlessly inside the house. In-kyung arrives home and is surprised to see the door is open. Rushing to where her Great Aunt is, she is greeted with the sight of her lifeless grandmother being held by In-joo.

Little Women Episode 6 Musings

Clues are piling up in Little Women so if your patience level is not that high, there’s a chance of feeling frustrated, and it’s normal. While we expect the underdog story, we didn’t expect perplexing thrilling moments to erupt that trace to a blue orchid and a cryptic organization.

To be honest, how it is so far interspersed in the story in a seemingly magical-medical approach is confusing. Safely taking it as an omen or the society’s RIP signature for the members marked to face death is also acceptable for now.

At least the good news is the unraveling of these puzzling scenarios won’t take long. Also hopefully, the mystery about the effect of the blue orchid will be expounded more. We need to know if the targeted hallucination heightens a moment that was really experienced or a memory of being told to.

True that the story is moving well thanks to the actresses portraying Oh siblings, but Uhm Ki Joon, Uhm Ji Won and Wi Ha Jun are really great in their portrayals. Without unnecessary dramatics, their immersion in their roles just really induces wow, at the same time, confusion as to what really is their end games.

Little Women

Hyo-rin’s crucial memory would obviously play an important and heartbreaking moment in the needed crucial puzzle pieces that would make up the so far withheld picture of the series.

Correspondingly, the tension between Jae-sang and Sang-ah is about to burst as the search for the 70 billion Korean won is at the risk of being discovered.

In the waning moments, Oh sisters’ Great Aunt is revealed to have been murdered, and the suspects point to either her trusted butler, Do-il, or someone sent by Jeongran society.

As seen in the preview for the episodes next week, suspicious meetings would add suspense to the already mystery-infused narrative.

Root for the Oh sisters and their journey to find the meaning of life beyond money and power in Little Women! International fans can watch it on Netflix.
