Love In Contract

Love In Contract Episode 7 Highlights

Truly giving Ji-ho’s colleagues a superb housewarming party; Sang-eun ends up getting drunk.

It leads to her inability to work professionally with her Saturday schedule with Hae-jin.

“Fine, let’s go to your house. But we stay together till she wakes up.”

Succumbing to her need for sleep, Hae-jin is left with no choice but to carry Sang-eun back to the building. Ji-ho who has been observing them from afar offers his home.

Agreeing with his suggestion, Hae-jin’s condition is for them to stay with her till she wakes up.

When she wakes up, Sang-eun picks her memory to what she remembered before she dozed off. Hurriedly running away from Ji-ho’s place, she meets Gwang-nam who came back from selling Madam Yoo’s jacket.

Inevitably, she shares what happened, and in Gwangnam’s usual style, he laughs at what his favorite noona has just gotten into.

Meanwhile, luck is on Hae-jin’s side as his dating news is even helping his already popular self with positive feedback from his fans.

“That day I completely blacked out like I don’t remember everything. Can you remember anything from that day?”

Sang-eun brings house organizers to bring back Ji-ho’s place to its original state. He has been subconsciously bothered about the things that transpired between them and he became a little bit prickly.

He offers to finish the rest of the things to be organized in the dressing room and finds Sang-eun’s effort in arranging his closet.

Adorning himself with a cute tie with a sunflower design made his staff like that he is in a harmonious relationship with his wife.

Later, when he meets Sang-eun, he shares how he learned that people can be superficial and it does benefit human interaction. But when Sang-eun tries to share how the clients usually like it, his mood changes.

So, when she opens up about what happened at the housewarming party, he responds nothing abruptly.

“Does she really have feelings for me?”

The next day, Ji-ho is seen still struggling with the memory of his kiss and trying to process the signals between him and Sang-eun. At dinner, he shares that interaction at the office is getting warmer with her clothing recommendations.

However, his childhood memories of how his aunt instilled that he should not expect anything from people in case he gets hurt made him hesitate to confront the looping thoughts he wants to express regarding Sang-eun.

Faintly frustrated at how they still have not been talking about the kiss, Sang-eun knows exactly how to get back at Ji-ho by the clothes she prepared for him. His unique tie becomes a hot subject at work.

When he follows Sang-eun’s advice to approach his staff during lunch, he ends up giving additional work for them after pointing out his strange necktie.

“Your charms keep crossing the line.”

Another attack by the helmet guy happened causing Hae-jin’s manager to injure his arm. So, he drives his car to a horseback riding activity with Sang-eun.

While the two have a great time, Madame Yoo also visits INA Group’s CEO and asks to take Jamie back into the company using her knowledge of the company’s corruption as leverage for the CEO to agree.

Inadvertently flaunting her many skills, Sang-eun impresses Hae-jin with her yacht license. She urges him to drink some wine and she will take charge of driving back the yacht after.

Happy that she has helped in Hae-jin’s positive rating, she advises him to find his true love fast since she can’t be of service to him for a long time.

Genuinely, she shared in passing how she intends to do the life she wants after paying off the woman she was indebted to. She also sincerely tells him how it’s strange but she feels comfortable when she’s with him.

Speaking about being comfy, Sang-eun asks Ji-ho repetitively if he feels nervous around her to which she gets a straight no answer.

“I pretended to be indifferent. I’m scared that you won’t like me.”

Coincidentally, Sang-eun and Ji-ho spot a few neckties on sale in a shop they both passed by. While the latter both a few, Sang-eun also bought one for him. However, the design she chose is already in one of the ties Ji-ho bought.

Her first gift to Ji-ho ends up in the hands of Hae-jin who felt happy receiving something from Jamie.

The next day, Ji-ho picks the exact necktie that Sang-eun wanted to give him for work. When he sees Hae-jin flaunting the same necktie on his live show giving clues to his fans of what he will wear at the awards show, Ji-ho makes a decision that he does not usually do.

He calls Sang-eun to have her visit the courthouse even when it’s not their scheduled day because he overheard Hae-jin wanting to visit her after the awards show.

When Hae-jin calls to ask Sang-eun to meet him quickly, she politely refuses and asks Ji-ho if they can continue chatting at his place.

Obliging her request to be her drinking buddy, Ji-ho got knocked out right away while Sang-eun is giving a heartwarming speech about the life she led thus far.

Realizing he’s intolerant of alcohol, she stares at his face but stops herself on the brink of planting a kiss on him.

About to walk away, Ji-ho stops her, and armed with the wine’s spirit, he talks about how he purposely chose his response last time. In fact, he was really feeling uncomfortable around her. Because he’s bothered that she does not like him.

Love In Contract Episode 7 Musings

Giving insights into what built up Ji-ho’s social awkwardness, Love In Contract episode 6 smartly presents why he has chosen to live devoid of emotions most of the time.

His aunt’s pieces of advice to hold back what he needs to say and not to expect anything from people have been the exact foundation of how he has been living his adult life.

His decision to refuse to confront pain stems from a probable phase in his life when he was not able to properly feel the grief of his father’s passing.

Subsequently, he has to live with his aunt’s family which did not allow him to freely own his decisions while growing up.

So, yes. We got a momentous character development for Ji-ho in this episode when he finally makes a confession on how he truly feels about Sang-eun.

He is getting in the direction of defying his initial conviction to not be brave in confronting emotions.

Now, with Hae-jin also in the process of being smitten by Sang-eun, the love triangle is interestingly proceeding to an addicting phase.

The sight of Ji-ho’s worried face in finding another he-Sang-eun who tends to be messy was an adorable treat in this episode.

Correspondingly, the plot is highlighting how it has been differentiating the different connections of Sang-eun to Hae-jin and Ji-ho.

She shares a lot of common things with Hae-jin and she feels comfortable around him. Adversely, her personality is the exact opposite of Ji-ho and she gets nervous around him.

Will Ji-ho continue to open up more of his emotions to Sang-eun? Will it lead to a romantic one?
