Park Ji Hoon Confesses His Emotions By Serenading Lee Ruby In “Love Revolution” Episode 4

Over 20 minutes of my time every Thursday, I go for a time traveling experience because of Love Revolution.

Reminiscent of memories when we were young, Love Revolution is a mood maker that makes me helplessly happy since its premiere. Park Ji Hoon, Lee Ruby, Kim Young Hoon, Jung Dae Eun, WJSN Dayoung and the rest of its young cast continue to pour energizing vibe to their roles.

It’s retreat day for students of Isam Information High School in episode 4 of Love Revolution. A hefty dash of physical workout drained the students before having a great time in the prepared evening talent show.

“Hey, just go while I am being nice.”

After a grueling morning exercise, the boys go for a quick chat just as Ju-young approached them with a rice grain on his cheek. Still hang up on the blissful moment of Ja-rim wiping a rice grain earlier, he goes berserk when Byung-hoon removed it.

Finding his crush having fun with her friends, Ju-young motions the stuck rice grain on his cheek. But, Ja-rim tells him to get lost before she loses her cool. Refusing to do her bidding, Ja-rim’s friends take care of the situation and remove the sticky rice grain with A-ram’s accurate kick.

The physical drills continue after the students’ free time. Kyung-woo trailing on Min-ji in one of the obstacle course makes fun of her by using his strength to shake the ropes. A big movement from Kyung-woo put them closer in an intimate position with their gazes lock at each other momentarily. Kyung-woo smirks and asks her if she likes him, just as A-ram appears to rescue her friend by kicking Kyung-woo to the water.

“Thanks to her I’m exempted to boot camp.”

Discussing his grand confession plan, Ju-young and Byung-hoon spot Kyung-woo and Kyung-min. Seeing Kyung-woo injured, Ju-young panics on the fate of his confession plan earning a “how dare you worry about that when I’m hurt” blab from Kyung-woo.

Looking bleak on how to proceed with their dance presentation, Kyung-min volunteers to take Kyung-woo’s part and his friends are forced to accept him.

“Ju-young made a lot of effort to surprise her.”

Night arrives and the upbeat retreat camp is bustling as the students prepare for the talent show. At the back stage, Ju-young and friends are experiencing jitters for their approaching performance. At the last minute, Kyung-woo saves the day when Kyung-min got wallowed by his nerves.

Amidst the rowdy cheers of their schoolmates, the trio throw sleek dance moves while Ja-rim watch Ju-young intently. Knowing about Kyung-woo’s injury, Min-ji also observes with a worried look.

Just then, the electric power stopped forcing the students to use their phone camera flashlights. On cue, Ju-young’s saccharine serenade fills the air as he pours out his emotions to the girl sweetly haunting his thoughts.

“He’s not my boyfriend.”

The swoon-worthy moment brought by Ju-young’s song number received cheers from the students. After that, the nosy program host summoned Ja-rim to the stage and forces them to hold hands when she denounced his understanding that they are a couple.

Fully riding on his idea that they are a perfect match, the host declared that their relationship’s first day just got marked that night. Coaxing a kiss from the two to seal the relationship, the host reminds of their teachers at the back.

Settling for the second best showcase of intimacy, the students cheer for a hug. Against Ja-rim’s warning when Ju-young approached, he moves to give her an awkward hug with zero skinship.

Questioning the new definition of hug they witness, the students whine but Ja-rim has had enough. She escapes from the spacious hug of Ju-young and goes back to her seat.

Left at an awkward moment, the host squeeze himself inside Ju-young arms mumbling how he felt so protected. Tears welled on Ju-young’s eyes as his efforts seem not enough to move Ja-rim’s cold heart.

Love Revolution Episode 4 Musings

I once covered Park Ji Hoon’s fan meeting, and it is one of those fan meetings that surprised me because I enjoyed the program even if it is too young for my age. Watching him grow since Produce 101 days to his acting gigs really makes my heart warm.

I wish I have time to view the webtoon, but I am so far liking his effort in picturing the adorkable love struck Gong Ju-young. It is definitely right up at his alley which makes him even more shine.

A new romance story is hinted to branch out between Kyung-woo and Min-ji. I’m definitely up for more side love stories and drama to progress in the series.

As much as we want to bask on Ju-young’s parade of display of affection, it might drag the story at some point. Inevitably, plot spices need to happen. Yes, even if we signed up for the light story Love Revolution promised.

I’m curious what Ja-rim’s priority is as a high school girl making her so stoic on Ju-young’s efforts. Episode 5 preview seems going to put Ja-rim in trouble and Prince-Ju-young-in-Shining-Armor looks ready to save Ja-rim-Damsel-in-Distress.
