The Silent Sea Series Peak Points *Spoiler Alert

An Eye-Opener For Human Greed

After landing on the Balhae Station and discovering the limited samples of lunar water, some of the crew members joined the expedition to pursue a new objective: selling the samples for personal gain. Not just betraying the team is enough, but also eliminating those who stand in the way.

Given that depletion of natural resources has devastated the Earth, the government represented in the series is eager to keep secret what kind of danger the team members would encounter in the abandoned research station.

They even discern the survival of the crew blindly, despite the fact that the lunar water is not for everyone to use since it risks the lives of human beings.

Unveiling The Mysterious Secrets Of Balhae Lunar Station

While the goal is to obtain the critical sample, Song Jian has another purpose in mind, and that is to locate Luna. It is what her late sister sent to her before she died at the station five years ago.

During her search, she discovered that Luna is a creation; a human clone creation to test the lunar water. Considering that creating a human clone is illegal, the scientists, including Song Ji-an’s sister, kept this secret. She also found that several Luna failed to survive the trials, but there was only one Luna who survived the lunar water.

Accordingly, the same Luna that survived the dangerous substances of the lunar water has antibodies that may be utilized to modify the conditions necessary for human survival. Even Song Jian, who was afflicted with the lunar water virus, survived after being bitten by Luna.

The Silent Sea Series Musings

As the series not only has an experienced cast depiction and the creators’ vast and outstanding staging, it also includes plenty of jump scare. Indeed, a gift for thrill-mystery lovers.

The Silent Sea undoubtedly gave a memorable, insightful lesson, and that can not be just shrugged off. By delving into the series’ backstory, we may glean a few themes that are still relevant today. That is, to care for mother nature before we face the same tragedy as the people of The Silent Sea.

In which individuals are only provided with water if they are given the golden card. As the series demonstrates, many people are enraged and desperate for water, and some are even dying as a result.

Apart from that, the ensemble cast did a superb job of portraying their roles. They are commendable to watch, particularly, Bae Doona and Gong Yoo anchored the weight of their roles as they struggle to preserve humanity and uncover the truth about The Silent Sea.

Furthermore, kudos to the creative team for generating such lifelike lunar scenes. With the finest details of dust and the larger dimensions of the research station, viewers are captivated and immersed in the story. It drives a vibrant feel of what the moon feels through the nuanced set design and visual effects.

Above all, this series serves as a wake-up call to conserve and protect the natural environment we presently have. It is to avoid suffering and fighting over it once it is gone. Likewise, the common phrase we all know is indeed true that prevention is better than cure.
