The Point Men Official Trailer

In the first trailer, the main leads portray realistic dangerous scenes in Afghanistan. The country where kidnapping and negotiating come with all sorts of adverse conditions.  Jae Ho (Hwang Jung Min) and Park Dae Sik (Hyun Bin) were given the 24-hour notification of the death deadline by the Taliban. When the clock begins to shrink, the urgency of the negotiation begins.

Jae-ho opens the scene with his line, “I know that one of the important missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to protect its own people.” Dae-sik asked, “Can you take responsibility if another victim comes out?” Knowing that the two characters have different strategies, the negotiation will not be easy.

Under disadvantageous conditions, Jae-ho and Dae-sik advance their mission to save the hostages. The main characters were able to overcome their difference in method and thinking. Due to the ever-changing demands of the Taliban, the hostages made sacrifices to survive.

In addition, Kang Ki Young appears as Lee Bong Han. Also known as Kasim, he is a frail Korean who survived in the back alleys of Afghanistan. Bong Han is fluent in the local situation and the native language. He became an indispensable interpreter for negotiation operations which added wit and fun to the scenes.

The audience raises their expectations as the characters show overflowing negotiation operations and extraordinary resonance.

The Point Men will be released in theaters on January 18, 2023.
