After a sweet confession, while accepting his second Grand Prize award at the 2022 MBC Drama Awards, Lee Jong Suk affirms dating news with IU.
Six years ago, he won the Daesang for his role in W: Two Worlds in his 20s and he continues to deepen the grasp of his roles. Consequently, his remarkable portrayal in Big Mouth was again acknowledged.
Confessing the weight of the acting challenge, he relayed he felt a sense of responsibility for his comeback work.
“It’s been a long time since I acted, and it was the first time I took on the challenge in terms of genre, so I was afraid. The director helped complete the filming well, and I received a lot of help from the staff for this work more than ever. Thank you to the actors who suffered a lot for 8 months as if they were in prison, and to the actors who struggled outside of prison. Thanks to director Lee Tae-gwan, I think I came out with a cool angle. Thank you. I received this award at this time, and I think I will be able to live hard with the momentum. I will become an actor who works hard.”
Genuinely thanking his mother for her unwavering support, he then expresses feelings hinting at a possible romantic connection with someone.
“There is a person who helped me to have a good direction and think positively on a human level. Thank you for always being cool and I want to tell you that I have liked and respected you for a very long time. I will try to become a better person in the future.”
