Years of waiting for her unreturned love to be noticed, Luo Zhi finally spent a sweet day with Huainan in episodes 15 and 16 of Unrequited Love.
Cute and familiar, Unrequited Love continues to be a sweeping tale of youth romance. Hu Yitian and Hu Bingqing are really doing a great job in presenting a love story that makes you really yearn for its episode release.

Unrequited Love Episodes 15 to 18 Key Moments
“Do you know how awkward it is when you are holding advantages, but you don’t know how to use them?”
Taking the toll of his family’s control over his life, Huainan turns to alcohol and pours out his sentiments of having such an easy life. That even when he wants to do something on his own effort, it won’t be credited as such.
Erasing his woes away, Luo Zhi assures him that his hard work is seen by people who really know him. But when she listens to Huaina’s mom’s voice message, she realized his concern is not easy as it seems.
Staring at the app he created on his own, Huainan surmises why his father can’t recognize the path he is making through his passion and creativity. So Luo Zhi advises him how parents who don’t understand their children might forever misunderstand them.
From her encouraging words, Huainan makes a brave decision to work on his own dreams without the influence of his family background.
“I can’t choose the family I was born in. But I want to choose the path I want to take.”
Luo Zhi again gave him a famous quote of how bearing the weight when you are dreaming something big is inevitable.
He sends a message to his friends and sticks to his initial inspiration on why he wants the child loss prevention app to be realized.
“Before you go to the venue, I want to tell you something.”
It’s D-Day to Siming University Venture Capital Investment Competition! Unfortunately, Luo Zhi met an accident while they rush to the event place so she urged Huainan to proceed.
She also sent a message to the team about Huainan’s vision making them support. However, they still weren’t able to secure the win because of Yongle’s manipulation. But Huainan sends a clear message to Yongle that his knack of plagiarizing will come back haunting him.
He also learned about Luo Zhi’s pep talk about their project which made them all root for his generous vision to help. The team was reminded of how their project will be etched in their youth memories.
“Just like a dream, without considering the past or the future, not being overly cautious, and without any impediments – I naturally got into this pedicab with him like a pumpkin carriage. However, I’m still a bit worried that this is just an illusion.”
With matching colored shirts, Luo Zhi and Huainan go for a day tour at Gulangyu. On-board a pedicab, Huainan volunteers to become her tour guide while sneaking a faint embrace. She also sneaks stolen photos while they explore the city spots. Finally, they also settle the strange meaning of their names and how they both use three chopsticks.
While waiting for Huainan, Luo Zhi receives a message from Wenrui warning her of revealing all the things she did to be closer to Huainan. When he arrives they walk and she listens to Huainan’s thoughts about not being a fan of deliberately making a connection. Something that she inadvertently did out of her long-running unreciprocated love for him.
Continuing on their date, they head to an ice skating rink and while holding hands, they play on ice happily. When Luo Zhi fell down, super-unrequited-love-Huainan brings out the medicine kit from his big bag and tend on her small wound.
On a trance, Luo Zhi mumble how she’s scared of the sudden happiness she was feeling at that moment.
“I’m afraid that this sudden happiness is too short-lived, yet it will take too long to forget in the future.”
Beaming, Huainan cutely quips how she should speak in a simple language that a technical guy like him can understand. When he mentions, how he still thinks she complements him well, Luo Zhi can’t help but be scared about how their similarities happened because of years of observing him being her long-time crush.
“A date between geniuses is indeed different. Even your token of love is a book.”
Capping off their day, Huainan gifts Luo Zhi a book set of Gibran which literally light up her face making him equally happy. From afar Wenrui saw them talking and it is definitely not a happy news for her.
Amazed to see the gift Luo Zhi received as books, she explains how she’s getting more scared of him being nice. Because at the end of the day, he will still think that she has been lying to him. Her fear seems to be happening fast as Zhanyan asks Huainan to meet her.
Unrequited Love Episodes 15 & 16 Musings
We tend to be focused on Luo Zhi’s effort to claim her unrequited love not realizing a love that grows is as equally beautiful. Huainan keeps on doing those sweet little things for Luo Zhi, and only him and us know it. *chuckles Like how he enjoyed on his own the indirect kiss from Luo Zhi’s soda can or that time when he used his body to block the rays of the sun for her.
Another thing I like about Unrequited Love is its balance distribution of happy and sad moments. It does not present a problem and solve it favorably all the time. Like how the child loss prevention app failed to seal a victory.
Set in the time when the characters have budding dreams, but with decisions influenced by their families; the series makes you beautifully embrace the memories of your youth. Not just the love stories but the personal goals you have once decided to pursue.
Something dark is brewing due to Zhanyan’s discovery of Luo Zhi’s past. We can totally see it being weaved in by Huainan’s clingy ex-girlfriend. Let’s hope to be nothing serious because we’re almost there since supporting Luo Zhi.
