Aiming to bring a layer of youth, Cha Hak Yeon and Jung Yi Seo are set for their characters in the new series Mine.
Mine revolves around the stories of strong women who escape the prejudice of the world. Lee Bo Young and Kim Seo Hyung are rightful owners of these new roles. The talented and versatile actresses are set to draw characters of elite and privileged women.
Boasting an exceptional creative team, Mine will be penned by Baek Mi-kyeong of Strong Girl Bong Soon, The Lady in Dignity and This is My Love fame. In charge of the production is director Lee Na-jeong. Her portfolio includes Love Alarm, Fight For My Way and Oh My Venus.
Cha Hak Yeon as Han Soo-hyuk
Playing the role of a third-generation chaebol Han Soo-hyuk is Cha Hak Yeon. The actor will be the onscreen son of actors Kim Seo Hyung and Park Hyuk Kwon. As the grandson of Hyowon Group, he has a life that looks perfect but he is a person with unspeakable pain and loneliness.
Accordingly, Cha Hak Yeon, who recently gathered attention through his intense portrayal in tvN’s 2021 drama stage The Fair, raises expectations as to what kind of transformation he will show in the drama Mine.
He said, “The way writer Baek Mi-kyung tells the story was so new, and the characters are all alive. So it was a script that keeps you wonder what the next content will be.”
Grateful for the opportunity to work with talented seniors in the industry, he expressed there’s no reason not to take the role. He further revealed his preparations for Han Soo-hyuk.
“Han Soo-hyuk is the youngest son of a chaebol with an amazing background, but he is a lonely character. I thought that acting as well as external appearance was important, So, I worked hard on exercise and diet. Before filming, I went through several meetings with the production crew to draw the character well. Additionally, I have completed the styling of the character, and I am very excited about how it will be projected to the viewers.”

Confessing to how eager she was to get the role in Mine, Jung Yi Seo said she fell in love on the script the first time she read it.
Set to portray Kim Yoo-yeon, the actress’ role is a maid whose life changed when she entered the rich household of Hyowon family.
“It was exciting from the time I first read the synopsis. The stories each person has kept raising curiosity. Above all, the flexible role continued to linger in my mind. So, at the audition, I strongly appealed to the director. It is a work I really wanted to do,” she said, expressing his affection and enthusiasm for the work.
In addition, Jung Yi Seo said, “The role of Kim Yoo-yeon is a really new challenge for me. I’m living in a difficult situation because my family is poor, but I hoped that I didn’t look pitiful or sluggish. Even in such a life, I want to show bright and confident energy. It was the hardest to express, but we are preparing hard so that it can be an opportunity to grow up a notch. It is the first time I have played a character with such a narrative in a drama, so I hope many people will see it.”
Mine will be broadcast for the first time in May following Vincenzo.
