jTBC’s upcoming drama, 18 Again, has released character stills of Kim Ha Neul
18 Again traverses the story of a man who wrinkled time and returned to his high school years, just before getting a divorce. The new series will be helmed by Ha Byung Hoon of Go Back Couple fame. The well-loved KBS2 TV series has garnered positive raves with its heartfelt narrative. It is also based on 2009 fantasy film, 17 Again.
For her new role, Kim Ha Neul plays the role of Jung Da Jung, a mother of 18-year-old twins and aspiring announcer. In the released photos, Kim channels the mood of a passionate announcer. Her goal, albeit hard, owing to her role as a mother to twins, aims to sympathize with women who struggles with their career because of marriage and pregnancy.
Kim Ha Neul exudes elegance and intelligent charm as the scene of her interview to become an announcer is captured. Dressed in a grey-toned, the actress expressively shows Jung Da Jung’s long-time dream of becoming an announcer.
The production team of 18 Again stated how Kim Ha Neul has been completely immersed to her character since the first shooting day. They further invite drama fans to look forward to the actress’ lovely charms and delicate emotional acting.
Also confirmed to star in the series are Yoon Sang Hyun and rising actor Lee Do Hyun.
Yoon Sang Hyun suits up as 37 year old Hong Dae Young, a regular middle-aged man who once had a glorious youth being a basketball genius. Yoon’s character who lives a regretful life with divorce concerns and losing his job gets a chance to be in his 18 year old self again. With a soul of 37 year old, he changes his life and takes a new identity.
Taking the role of young Hong Dae Young is dashing actor Lee Do Hyun. With a new identity as Go Woo Young, he is set to charm viewers with his immersive portrayal.
18 Again will be broadcast in September via jTBC.
