Japanese singer-actor Takuya Kimura draws attention as he joins the casts of the upcoming film Doraemon: The Divine Dinosaur of Jin-Gu.
Takuya Kimura is a famous voice actor in Japan that many viewers anticipated. After his third dubbing in Howl’s Moving Castle, his audience is excited to witness him again on the said film.
Recently, Takuya Kimura participated as a special voice actor in the theater version of Doraemon: The Divine Dinosaur of Jin-Gu.
Takuya is a member of the male idol group SMAP from 1988 until 2016 and he has since ventured as a solo artist with the nickname “Kimutaku.”
In the famous anime movie Howl’s Moving Castle, he played the voice of Ghreb in 2004 and participated in Red Line in 2010, showing his peculiar acting skills.
Moreover, he sealed spots in the most-watched Japanese TV Drama of all time like Hero, Beautiful Life, and Goodluck.
Takuya Kimura as Jil
In the play, Takuya played Jil, a mysterious monkey that Jin-gu and his friends met during the cretaceous period.
However, this adds to the curiosity of the viewers because monkeys do not yet exist during this period.
In the trailer, Jil secretly monitored Jin-gu and his friends in a dark laboratory that adds a mysterious ambiance to the film.
Meanwhile, Takuya shares that he had been a fan of Doraemon since childhood and it comforted him a lot when his heart is weak.
“I still can’t believe that I participated in Doraemon which I enjoyed since I was young.”
Takuya Kimura also adds that Doraemon is a special being to him because when he was in elementary, he had precious memories with Doraemon.
In particular, Takuya said that the first theater version of Doraemon: The Divine Dinosaur of Jin-Gu that is released in 1980 was his favorite, and had a meaningful time participating in the film.
“This work, which is the 50th anniversary and the 40th theater version, has a story that reminds us of things we haven’t thought of so far, and it is a movie that can be enjoyed by both children and adults.”
Takuya Kimura invited everyone, especially those who had been a fan of Doraemon ever since.
Meanwhile, Doraemon: The Divine Dinosaur of Jin-Gu would broadcast in Korea in August.
