Voice 4 actors including its lead stars Song Seung Heon, Lee Ha Na, and Lee Kyu Hyung relayed their insights on the drama’s finale.
Song Seung Heon, who played the role of detective Derek Jo shared, “I’m filled with emotions thinking about Voice 4 coming to an end after everyone worked hard filming since the cold winter until the hot summer.”
Revealing how it’s like filming, the actor said, “I used a lot of physical energy, and I’m thankful to Director Shin Yong Hwi, Writer Ma Jin Won, and the staff for being considerate of me so that we could finish filming in good health.
He added, “I used a lot of physical energy, and I’m thankful to director Shin Yong Hwi, writer Ma Jin Won, and the staff for being considerate of me so that I could film in good health until the end.”
“I also want to thank the Golden Time Team and other actors for always creating a fun atmosphere on set. I’m not feeling like a transfer student anymore. I’ve grown fond of them like they are my long-time friends, so I’m sad to say goodbye.”
Even before the drama’s premiere, the actor admitted through an interview that he felt a ton of pressure because he is a “transfer student” in the series.
Lee Ha Na, who led all four seasons of Voice as Kang Kwon Joo said, “There were two gaps between the past seasons, but the wait before the premiere of Voice 4 seems to have been unusually long. As the seasons go by, it seemed that the number of fans who followed and loved the show has also increased.”
“I sincerely appreciate the fans who patiently waited for Voice 4 and watched it until the end. I was happy to be able to portray the role of Kang Kwon Joo again in this season.”
Playing the role of the serial killer Dong Bang Min, actor Lee Kyu Hyung’s character has a dissociative identity disorder. On taking a complicated role, the actor shared, “I was worried if I could pull it off well, but it was a project that I wanted to challenge myself to.”
“I want to thank Writer Ma Jin Won and Director Shin Yong Hwi for creating the character Dong Bang Min. Also, I would like to express my gratitude to the viewers for watching with affection even though my character is a villain.”
Son Eun Seo, who plays the role of Park Eun Soo, a call team’s leader who later on became a detective of the dispatch team, commented, “The driving force that allowed me to make it until season 4 was the love of the viewers. I think I was able to grow.”
“I am grateful to the viewers who joined us up to Voice 4 and I want to tell all the actors and staff that they did a really great job.”
Baek Sung Hyun played Shim Dae Shik, one of the detectives from the Golden Time Team. During the first season, he had a bloody encounter with Moo Tae Goo and has been traumatized since, which caused him to take a break from the crime scene.
This season, he returned to the Bimo Island Golden Time Team and chased Dong Bang Min until the very end. He continued, “Voice 4 seems to have ended quickly, but I think its because Director Shin Yong Hwi, the staff and all the actors enjoyed communicating throughout while filming.”
“I returned to Voice again through season 4, and I thank the fans who waited for Dae Shik. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Writer Ma Jin Won who allowed me to return. It was a really fun experience to play Shim Dae Shik, who, although not a new character, but changed differently from season 1.”
Portraying Park Joong Ki, the veteran detective and dispatch team leader, Kim Joong Ki expressed his affection for the drama.
“Voice is a work that I am looking forward to. Golden Time Team, you did great this season as well. Don’t get hurt and let’s see each other in good health.”
Song Boo Gun, who played the role of Goo Kwang Soo, a detective of the dispatch team shared, “Season 4 had many episodes that made me realize the importance of family.
“As a parent, I learned a lot about how to raise children and how to treat them. So, for me, Voice 4 is a drama that made me think about how valuable family is and how I should live as the head of the household.”
WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon plays the role of Han Woo Joo, the youngest of Bimo Island Golden Time Team. He is the cyber spy and the brain of the team who uncovered the main clues to the murder of a circus man with his proficient hacking skills.
“It was an honor to play a role in the big series like Voice. While filming the drama, I think I received lots of love. I also think it would be great if I could film again with the people I met through Voice 4.”
Meanwhile, the final episode of Voice 4 aired on July 31.
