The Romance Of Of Tiger And Rose Quick Plot Recap
Played by Rosy Zhao, Chen Xiao Qian is a passionate and aspiring scriptwriter. As her first work successfully passed as a series, Xiao Qian has trouble persuading a well-known actor, Han, to take the lead role.
As a novice scriptwriter, she is also having difficulties revising the script the director told her to work on. While resting, Xiao Qian woke up and realized that she is stuck on the fictional story she created.
She transformed into the Third Princess, Chen Qian Qian. In her story, Chen Qian Qian’s sister, Chen Chu Chu, is fated to marry Han Shuo.
Xiao Qian also remembered that Han Shuo (Ryan Ding) killed Qian Qian. With that, she tries to survive and find ways to come back to the real world.
After portraying Qian Qian, Xiao Qian changed the fate of the characters and learned the true meaning of love. Now that she experienced and saw that fictional characters also have their own emotions, it helped Xiao Qian to write genuine and heartfelt stories.

The series comes out from the usual plot that others depict in their stories. Though I must say that the story is not that well written, The Romance Of Tiger And Rose captures its audience with its refreshing lessons about love.
On Chen Xiao Qian’s end, I can feel her passion and love for writing. As she lived the life of Qian Qian, she finally understands that there is nothing impossible when it comes to love.
Xiao Qian finally felt the feeling of love after falling in love with the character she made. Though she was afraid to leave their story, The Romance Of Tiger And Rose proves that dreams can become a reality if we are fated to have them.
On the other hand, Han Shuo also proved that love can change us. With his illness, Han Shuo only uses his remaining days to fulfill his plans.
However, after intertwining with Xiao Qian, he found more reasons to live — since she helped him cure his illness. Furthermore, she also tamed him that showed his loving and warmer personality.
In Han Shuo’s City, men are more superior to women. With the love he has for Xiao Qian, he showed her the respect and equality she deserves.
In contrast, Chen Chu Chu craves love and affection from her mother. Supposedly, she is the heroine in the story but transformed into the villain after seeing that her mother will never appreciate her.
It’s a bit disappointing with how the story pivoted around her. But still, she also reminds the audience that jealousy and revenge is not the only solution to feel and be accepted.
Breaking The Barriers Of Gender Inequity
One of the things that I love about the series is how they showed and featured that women can lead. I’m surprised that in Chen Qian Qian’s city, Huayuan City, women are more superior than men.
The women in Huayuan City proved that women are also capable and excel with other activities. It also empowers and encourages women to step up and defend themselves.
Though I thought the series will only highlight empowering messages on women, it also relays that men should also be respected the way women are respected.
Moreover, it showed that even though men are hard to “tame,” they can also be changed and be affectionate like other women do. Though they are cold and arrogant, the right person can melt them and help them to show their emotions.
An Encouraging Narrative For Dreamers
I commend the writer and producers of the series for giving the writers a story that inspires them. As a writer, I can feel Xiao Qian’s frustration when she got writer’s block to revise the story.
The series gave a new meaning to writing and reminds everyone to not give up on their dreams. Like Xiao Qian, to excel more with our crafts we need passion and inspiration to continue what we love.
Though there are times we feel inferior, Xiao Qian also showed that we should also take a rest to continue writing our stories. Though it seems that our dreams are impossible, it showed it’s in our hands to make it possible.
Furthermore, the series also tells us that we are the heroine in our stories. With genuine dedication and love for our crafts, anything is possible when we rewrite our destiny and embrace our fate.
