Set inside a brokerage company, three cleaning ladies, portrayed by Yum Jung Ah, Jeon So Min, and Kim Jae Hwa, start a new chapter in their lives. They then overhear insider information that they will use to pivot their lives around.

Lee Moo Saeng Transformation Into A Sophisticated Character

Cleaning Up

Adding mystery to the drama, actor Lee Moo Saeng plays the charismatic and cold informant, Lee Young Shin. As seen in many dramas and films, the actor shares his impression of the drama.

“When I first read the script, it was interesting to see the development of each episode, which repeated a reversal of the reversal. There was such tension that I was curious about what will happen next. Lee Young Shin’s character is a character who seems cold-hearted, pure, and rational, but has an unexpected charm that acts very instinctively. If you compare it to stocks, it’s like a person who’s sad and upset when the stock price falls, but keeps checking and cheering when the stock price rises.”

He then opens up more about his character:

“Lee Young Shin is a cool-headed perfectionist, but he shows his ability to get more interest. Also, he is a person who faces a head-on battle to stimulate his instincts. I’m going to show you my instinct, my strategies, and my dimensional character, so please pay attention. The character’s vibe epitomizes an urban and sophisticated man. I don’t think he values his relationship with others, maybe his feelings. With that, he defends himself with gentleness and perfectionism to hide it. I don’t think he would have allowed anyone to show a loophole, not only in appearance but also in words and actions.”

Considering that the drama centers on stocks, Lee expresses how fun it is to learn it.

“As the understanding of stocks has become more common and higher than ever, it’s an engaging drama that we can incorporate in our lives. It’s fun to know stocks, and it’s more fun if you don’t know them. I ask you to enjoy the unpredictability and the continual reversals in every episode because I can feel the thrill in them at the same time.”

Na In Woo’s Transformation Into A Child-Like Character

Different from Lee’s character, Na In Woo will melt the hearts of viewers as a shy and tender engineering student, Doo-yeong. The actor took interest in becoming part of the drama after realizing how stocks are similar to the stories of people.

Furthermore, he also describes his character as a friend “who accepts and expresses emotions as pure as a child.”

“Doo Young is the person who is loved by someone, encouraged and valued more than anything else. For the first time, I tried on glasses for my work, and I prepared comfortable clothes because I am a character who mainly needs to work.”

The actor also unveils that he prepares to express reserved emotions when filming scenes with the other cast members. Lastly, he tells how Cleaning Up will touch the hearts of the audience.

“Even if it looks ordinary on the outside, everyone has a wound and has his own story. This work deals with the story of each character struggling to take responsibility for their lives regardless of their occupation. I hope everyone can sympathize with it and be remembered for a long time.”
