Meet the five main characters of Wavve’s new webtoon-based Korean drama!
Set to premiere as a Wavve original series in September, PLAYLIST unveiled on July 6 the lead roles for the new drama Seasons of Blossom.
Seo Ji Hoon, So Ju Yeon, Kim Min Kyu, Kang Hye-won, and Yoon Hyeon-soo will portray the lead roles in the Korean drama adaptation.
Fans of the serialized Naver webtoon “Seasons of Blossom” are already anticipating how the series will come to life. The drama tells a tale of the friendship and love of 18-year-old high school students at Seoyeon High School. And in particular, the series will be adapting an omnibus format. Hence, there will be a different main character highlighted per arc.
The five characters’ lives will turn upside down after an event from six years ago manifests changes in their present lives. An unfortunate incident involving a boy who committed suicide affects not only the girl who could not stop him. The other teens become impacted in the present too.
Moreover, the central theme of the storyline is the issues faced by young adults. The plot delves into the character development of the youthful characters who cannot be honest with themselves. It will specifically depict why one struggles and hides and how to face the reality that awaits.
Seasons of Blossom Quick Character Sketch
To illustrate, Seo Ji Hoon will portray a dual character named Lee Ha-min. His character is a bright person on the outside but is struggling to contain the darkness plaguing him.
Meanwhile, So Ju Yeon will play Han Hope. A student who is kind yet timid. Additionally, Kim Min Kyu becomes Lee Jae-min. The popular schoolboy with a complicated past who is nice to everyone.
On the other hand, Kang Hye Won becomes Yoon Bomi, the bright and kind model student in the group. Last but not least, Yoon Hyeon Soo is set to portray the character Choi Jin-young. A fussy game fan who ironically has a delicate personality.
