Rekindling love memories plus a chance to fulfill a forgotten dream propel jTBC’s new series, 18 Again!
Yoon Sang Hyun, Kim Ha Neul and Lee Do Hyun are all set for fantasy-romance 18 Again. The new drama traverses the story of a man who wrinkled time and returned to his high school years, just before getting a divorce. It is based on 2009 film, 17 Again.
Plot Sketch
In the cusp of getting a divorce, something unexpected happened between married couple Jung Da-jung (Kim Ha Neul) and Hong Dae-young (Yoon Sang Hyun). Returning to his 18-year glorious self, Dae-young takes a new identity as Go Woo-young (Lee Do Hyun).
Main Leads
Taking the role of Hong Dae-young is Yoon Sang Hyun. Touted as a basketball genius at 18, his life changed becoming the head of a household and father of twins.
Rising actor Lee Do Hyun suits up as the “18-year-old Hong Dae-young” who takes on a new identity as Go Woo Young. In the drama, a second chance for him to live his dream of becoming a basketball star will be raised. A dream he turned his back on when reality hit him hard years ago.
For her new role, Kim Ha Neul plays the role of Jung Da Jung, a mother of 18-year-old twins and aspiring announcer. Her goal, albeit hard, owing to her role as a mother to twins, aims to sympathize with women who struggles with their career because of marriage and pregnancy.
Creative team
Calling the shots of the drama production is Director Ha Byung Hoon of Go Back Couple fame. The well-loved KBS2 TV series has garnered positive raves with its heartfelt narrative. Penning the script are writers Kim Do Yeon, An Eun Bin and Choi Yi Ryun.
18 Again premieres on September 21 on jTBC at 9:30 p.m. KST.
