“The First Responders” Unveils Character Posters of Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Jun and Gong Seung Yeon

Promising heartwarming teamwork, the news SBS series parades character posters of the lead stars.

The First Responders chronicles the joint cooperation of police officers and firefighters in urgent situations involving crimes, accidents and fires.

Additionally, it heightens expectations since it is the first series in Korea to present a story in which police and fire departments cooperate to respond to violent events involving crime, disaster, and emergency.

Above all, the series attracts attention for its formidable cast and showrunners. Writer Min Ji Eun penned the lauded two seasons of Partners for Justice. Meanwhile, Director Shin Kyung Soo helmed Nokdu Flower, 3 Days and Tree With Deep Roots.

Previously, teaser photos were released delineating the main leads Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Jun and Gong Seung Yeon. Subsequently, character posters are presented sharing interesting details about the roles they will portray.

Suiting up as Jin Ho-gae, a passionate detective who boasts the highest arrest rate at Taewon’s Police Station’s 8th detective team is Kim Rae Won.

On his poster states his mantra: “Once you bite, you must catch it!” It further complements his nicknames Jindo dog and crazy dog.

A unique detective with ample charisma, he embodies passion, coolness and kindness.

Next, Son Ho Jun who plays the role of Bong Do-jin, a firefighter at the Taewon Fire Station, conveys deep perseverance with a fearless and strong expression.

Wearing a fire suit and giving off a brave stance, he lives by a dauntless belief: “Firefighters are flame-retardant, so they don’t catch fire!”

A flame master willing to jump into big fires raises curiosity about what kind of influence he will have in the cooperation between the police office officers and firefighters.

Lastly, Gong Seung Yeon, who transformed into Song Seol, a paramedic at the Taewon Fire Station, shows off her extraordinary passion while holding the radio in a paramedic outfit.

In particular, Song Seol, who is taking a determined posture with an expression that does not lose her softness, captures the mindset of a paramedic who ‘does not miss even a small wound’.

On her poster, a fitting description of her dangerous and rewarding job is described: “I promise! I go to work on time and leave work alive.”
