An endearing love tale is coming up on tvN and TVING in 2024 in Graduation.
Graduation (졸업) unfolds a secret and sweet real-life romance between veteran academy instructor Seo Hye-jin (Jung Ryeo Won) and Lee Jun-ho (Wi Ha Jun), a cheeky student who returns after 10 years and stirs her heart.
A secret midnight romance that begins when the lights go out in an academy district, and the colorful stories of academy instructors are depicted in detail in Graduation.
The series is penned by writer Park Kyung-hwa and produced by Studio Dragon and JS Pictures Co., Ltd. Helming the project is Director Ahn Pan Suk of Something in the Rain, One Spring Night and Secret Love Affair fame.
Attention is also drawn to the meeting between Jung Ryeo Won, a ‘first love character’ who will bring out the taste of real love, and Wi Ha jun, a ‘younger man optimized for melodrama’.
Jung Ryeo Won plays the role of Seo Hye-jin, a 14-year veteran Korean language instructor who achieved the ‘Daechi-dong miracle’. She is a quiet fighter who does not give up and has a solid inner strength that never fails. Just as she was thinking about her past dreams, Hye-jin’s daily life became turbulent when Lee Jun-ho, the ‘bad guy’ whom she put all her effort into sending to a prestigious university, appeared for the first time in 10 years.
Look forward to the change of her secret feelings, including the excitement she had forgotten about in her harsh reality.
Jung Ryeo Won expressed her extraordinary affection for her latest work.
“I am very happy and excited to return to romance after a long time. I am very happy and grateful to be on set because I met not only director Ahn Pan-suk, whom I always respect, but also a very good partner. I will do my best to make a good work. I will do my best.”
Next, Wi Ha Jun returns after 10 years to play Lee Jun-ho, a new instructor who disrupts the daily life of teacher Hye-jin. Jun-ho is the protagonist of the ‘Daechi-dong Miracle’ that made Hye-jin a famous instructor.
One day, he suddenly returns to the academy where Hye-jin, a teacher who gave him a dramatic turnaround in life, throws away his employee ID card from a large company that guarantees him a solid career.
Curiosity is heightened as to what kind of story he will draw after reading the unfamiliar emotions of Hye-jin, who so vehemently opposes her.
Wi Ha Jun reveals his decision to appear in the series.
“I was attracted to the charm of the character, and the story that vividly detailed the emotions in everyday life was interesting. Above all, I am really happy to meet director Ahn Pan-suk again, whom I met through Something in the Rain. I am so excited because he is the one who allowed me to experience the joy of acting.”
Graduation is scheduled to be released on tvN and Tving in 2024.
