After a five-year break, The Fiery Priest 2 is making a comeback, raising high expectations with the reunion of its beloved main cast—Kim Nam Gil, Honey Lee, and Kim Sung Kyun.
The trio recently revealed an attention-grabbing teaser poster, signaling their dramatic return to the screen and amplifying excitement among fans who have eagerly awaited the continuation of this hit SBS drama.
The Fiery Priest 2 is set to continue the thrilling and comedic story of Father Kim Hae-il (Kim Nam-gil), a hot-tempered Catholic priest with an unrelenting sense of justice. This time, the fiery priest is drawn to Busan to investigate a dangerous drug cartel. The drama is classified as an “extreme cooperation, no-nonsense comic investigative drama,” combining action, suspense, and sharp humor that made the first season a massive success.
The return of The Fiery Priest is especially exciting because its first season was one of the most talked-about dramas of 2019, setting viewership records with a peak of 24% (Nielsen Korea, Seoul Metropolitan Area).
