Actor Song Jae Rim has passed away at the age of 39.
Song was found deceased on November 12 in an apartment in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. A note was reportedly found at the scene. His memorial service is set up at the Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital Funeral Hall, with the funeral scheduled for noon on the 14th. His resting place will be at the Seoul Municipal Crematorium.
Recently, Song had written “A Long Journey Begins” on his social media profile. His last post was made 41 weeks ago, and comments were disabled. His contract with his former agency had expired last year.
Debuted in the 2009 film Actresses, Song Jae Rim built a career with notable roles in dramas such as Moon Embracing the Sun, Fantasy Tower, Unkind Women, and Clean with Passion for Now, along with films like The Suspect, The Snob, and Yaksha. He was also a popular figure on the variety show We Got Married Season 4. Recently, he portrayed Go-pae in the TVING series Queen Woo and connected with audiences in the musical The Rose of Versailles, which concluded last month on October 13.
